R/ Two Sentence Horror

I had a horrible nightmare about a monster chasing me in an abandoned building.








My heart sank when I woke up and realized I wasn’t in my room

Explanations:-
1)The narrator was a prisoner with a life sentence that far exceeded that of the lifespan of a human. Therefore, he was being kept alive via the use of machines, and will be forced to suffer for 2 more centuries.

2)Immortality is a curse, the longer you live, the more you realize it. At first, it seems cool. Until the first friend and/or family member dies, then the second, then the third and so on, until everyone you knew died. If you hadn't a job to earn money and couldn't buy food, don't worry, you don't need it. You just had to endure the unbearable pain of nigh-eternal hunger. In this story, it is likely that the narrator is in the middle of space, with nothing, but the death of stars helping them keep track of time.

3)Both the narrator and their wife were in space, likely towards a planet close to the Sun, when unfortunately, the spaceship's engines shut down. Now, as the two slowly drift towards the Sun, with the repeated sound of the engines being offline telling them that this is it, and with nothing left to do but accept fate, they whisper their wife about their love.

4)Just as the Psychic predicted, the narrator is about to die in a plane crash.

Then i realized this wasnt my son when i heard a door open and same voice as my son say "im home!".

"The cold is not the worst pain you'll feel, the hunger is" That hit harder then a brick, my body has been in starvation mode before and the pain is unbearable and anyone living in a cold climate knows that you adapt

The last one is less of a horror, and more of a dad joke

Fun fact: thanks to gravity it's pretty much impossible to fly into the sun, at least not directly. The ship would likely just orbit the sun or something close to the sun but be unable to escape. So everyone inside would either starve to death or suffocate. That is if the heat doesn't kill them first. So it's arguably a worse death then just flying directly into the sun.

The sun one would make a great movie in my opinion. A lot of these would actually if you think about it.
Also the background music is nice, or well nice as in meaning eerie.

As soon as I could move again I sat up only to realize I was alone the whole time.

I like to imagine that the first guy is being kept alive for something he didn't even do, which just makes it a thousand times more tragic.

I feel like protagonists who learn how they die need to remember that it’s set in stone and trying to avoid it won’t do anything
