Why to NOT Buy A TESLA Model Y in 2024

A few months ago we made a video titles "10 Reasons to Buy a Tesla Model Y in 2024" - however, as 2024 now comes to an end, there is plenty of reason to NOT but a Tesla in 2024.

The Tesla Model Y refresh, or "Juniper" release is just a few weeks away. If you are someone who wants a new refreshed version of the Model Y, maybe you can wait a few weeks to get your hands on one of the first ones.

If you don't care so much about the refreshed Juniper Tesla Model Y, it would still make sense to wait to make your purchase. When the new Model 3 came out earlier this year, Tesla heavily discounted their inventory Model 3's, and I would expect the same to happen soon with the new Model Y's.

In any case, you can't go wrong. The Tesla Model Y is the best selling vehicle in the world for a reason!

I have been a Tesla owner since 2015, first a used Model S and then a 2022 Model Y, which I still have. My first Tesla was used and I got about a 50% discount on it with only 31, 000 miles, a beautiful p85 very early 2014 vin (lower than 40, 000) and I loved it(I sold it with 121, 000 miles on it). You may be right to wait, but wait for the discounts on the used cars. If you absolutely need the latest and greatest, you will overpay for it with Tesla. That's how they are, the new Y will cost more and the price will come down over time and guess what.. there will be another new Y, and maybe with just minor changes that make a difference in a year. Just buy something in your budget. a Used Y or 3 is a great deal,

You also need to consider that by buying the 2024 you will get the very best of the current generation. All the issues and bugs have been worked out. I’ve always learned never, ever buy the latest iteration of a model refresh . Always best to wait at least until the second year that way you know the major issues have been addressed.

We love our '23 Model Y and my wife will probably drive until it's inoperable. The rendering of the new "Juniper" looks amazing and vented seats are totally a game changer in Vegas!

Jokes aside, can't wait to buy a model 3 here in a couple months. It's kinda crazy to me that they don't have ventilated seats until now. My 2023 elantra even had that.
