When I am at the supermarket I round up and down for example if something is $1.65 I round to $2 if something is 1.35 I round to $1 and as I get things off the shelf in my cart I keep track and I stop $10 below budget for a buffer. This keeps me on track.

Wow, a clicker is genius! Can’t believe it’s the first time I’ve heard this tip! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Additionally, for those of us who use the calculators. If you have a list anyway. Go ahead and jot down the amount on that paper. So if your calculator does clear, you can say "hey, when I picked up the canned food I was at 22.56" and go from there. I enjoy your videos, thanks

I really like the clicker idea. I have ADHD and anxiety, so shopping is often a nightmare for me. If I write a list, I'll forget it, or even if I bring it or have it on my phone, I'll forget to look at it. If I accidentally clear the calculator, I'm so frustrated I just say "screw it" and head to the checkout...or throw a few more things in the cart before I do. 🙄

I also like the meal prep idea, but that's something I will have to work toward. Got a lot of other habits in the way that'll need to change before I could handle that level of organization. Plus I'm not that great at cooking. lol

I just do food shopping online. That way I can see the price of everything and take things out of my cart that I know we don’t really need. This helps me too buy things I know we will eat and stick to my $100 per 2 weeks limit. I can go grocery shopping while I’m actively looking at my pantry to know what we do and don’t need. I only go grocery shopping when I get paid so one week we eat fresh foods and the next week we eat a lot of smoothies and cook from the frozen stash. This has been the most helpful to me. I only go in the store for quick grab things that I just happen to need and even then, I’ll order it if I can wait a few days to have it.

Just a note, when you are using the calculator on your cell phone, if you wipe out your total, you can go back into the "history" and recover it.

I do most of my groceries online so I only get what I need and know exactly how much I'm spending. I also used the collect option for my groceries so I don't pay for delivery!

The fun money point you made is really important. You’re not gonna want to keep on a budget if you’re miserable, so a small treat here and there is great to help keep you motivated

Clicker is a neat idea. I just round up and Mark it next to the item on my list. This way I can save my old list and compare prices when I see things on sale other places or online.

We always keep some pasta and a jar of pesto and frozen peas in the cupboard with a frozen garlic bread and dinner in 20mins!

The ALDI app has a calculator where you can add the item and price. I've made my own price book documents for each grocery store to compare.

My meals plans do work. But sometimes I am short need more ingredients to finish the meals.

Another problem is treating myself to snacks or getting a carry out during sports on T.V. on Mondays with Wrestling shows..

Here in the UK, we have scan and go shopping in the supermarket. You have these scanners to scan your shopping and it shows you the total at the end 😊 by using this, you can keep an eye on how much you have spent as well as bagging your groceries as you go. Then go to a special self service till at the end and pay that way. Super easy. I love it as it really allows me to see how much I have spent and how much I have left on our budget. And if for some reason we are over then the scanner has the option to return items too 😁
