My partner and I have a simple rule about eating out. We only do it once for each of our paychecks. He makes just one social security check a month. I get two paychecks a month each year, though sometimes three depending on what month it is. Only one time out to eat for each check. So, usually, we go out three times a month and that's it. It works for us and has helped us to save some money.

Ordering my groceries from Walmart and picking them up has been an absolute game changer. I am able to stick to $100/week budget because all those temptations you normally get walking through the store aren’t there. Not only is it saving me lots of money but it’s keeping my family healthy.

"Hey Bill, Josh and I are going out for beers after work, you want to come?"

"No thanks, I'm saving money. You guys want to go in on a picnic or yoga instead?"

I love her approach, she gives alternatives and solutions instead of just pointing out problems. Thank you so much for the video.

I don’t need more rules. I need more money. But this is good advice.

Covid has made me realize just how much money I can save by not going out to eat. I'm just like, where'd all this extra money come from?!

I barely never eat out. My problem lies in comfort eating sweet sugary stuff.

Meal prepping and cooking at home can help minimize the number of time you eat out and or get food delivered. I can’t believe she didn’t mention that.

Managing your budget becomes harder if you live in an expensive country like Australia where I lived. I try to limit to $25 to spend on grocery shopping but it's hard since the cheaper options are unhealthy and mostly expired, so I try to cut my other expenses to save money like watching Netflix and replace it with piracy using U-Torrent to download shared movie files.

$50 to $70 per night eating out?! What planet is this woman living on?! Not on essential-worker world, for sure. We try get a high from saving 10% on our 80 cent lunch -- that way we can actually eat something every day.

Just use the apps to order pickup. Don’t have to pay delivery fee + tip and risk someone fucking up your order or being late.
