10 Reasons why I want to go BACK to South Africa | South African in the UK

It's been over 16 months since I left South Africa and moved to the United Kingdom. With all the travel restrictions that have been in place in 2020 and 2021, I haven't been able to go back to South Africa to visit and it's made me feel very homesick at times.

I'm sure there's a lot of other expats going through the same emotions so I wanted to create this video about the 10 things that I miss about South Africa for any other South Africans that are living abroad and want to reminisce.

Even if you're not South African and maybe just curious about the country, I hope this video also gives you a glimpse of the best parts of South Africa.

The saying runs true..you can take a South African to any country in the World...but you can't take South Africa from their heart..Its home and always will be

Great video! I am a South African in Germany (for 9 years now) and I can agree that for all the "good" things you can find in Europe...it still does not come close to the "feel" of South Africa and what it has to offer. We are truly lucky to be calling ourselves South African!

What I love about my country, is that we have our issues with one another, but as soon as someone from another Country comes for any South African, we gon eat lol! The Spur comment I can relate... I even grew up thinking it's part of our tradition to go to Spur for birthdays🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Like 90's kids will tell you... Ain't nothing like a Spur birthday party when you where young, especially when it's your birthday and the whole waiting staff had to come and sing for you with a free ice cream and that flaming thing. 🧨
