Still cool that the judge was so influential of a character it became its own character archetype

My own interpretation of the Judge is that he's the literal incarnation of either war or man's evil nature. "I'll never die, " he says.

This is awesome because the sketch style is so fitting of the period. Like this was a sketch done by the kid himself.

This exact moment is the hight of the wild west, its noon and the moment is shoned brightest. The true Blood Meridian, and just like The Judge said, it is only at the noon of something, at the highest of it, it is that moment that something ends. So this very exact moment with the judge dancing naked and perioting after defling and myrdering The Kid, this is the highest moment of the Wild West, and also the moment it has come to an end, never again to come to pass.

The narration the sketches and the music together are chilling it's amazing.

Love the very quick draft style behind the artwork. As if quickly scribbled down in a journal on the frontier. Not to mention it adds to the very haunting imagery of the judge and the scene set before the viewer.

A few weeks ago saw the title of this video and said to myself: “damn, I want to read BM, and this guy made the ending animated, I want to see the video but I don’t want to spoil me. I’m sure the wait will be worth it.”

I bought the book and read it, and I finished it yesterday, I loved the ending, and the first thing I did after finishing it was enter to this video… it’s literally how I pictured the ending! Great job ❤
