It’s a real testament to how well written and vile of a character the Judge is that even seeing an incredibly pixelated and janky version of him makes my asshole clench in primal fear

...which is, incidentally, before this part. Later he opens the door and the judge is sitting there and he just lunges up and grabs him.

This is exactly how I imagined the scene in my mind when I read it. Chilling.

You know for something that had no jump scares and just very subtle audio I cannot explain how much this made me clench my asshole in fear

That feels so horrifying that the door just quietly closes with no sound, no one would bet an eye to that out house, and its so much worse when you know whats happening in there...

This doesn't even seem funny, this seems genuinely terrifying and like something Konami would've actually made back in the 1990s

I liked the game but I only ever got past the Comanche raid once or twice. That damn brave in the bridal veil always knocks me off my horse.

considering that Blood Meridian was never able to get a film adaptation for being so violent, I think a videogame or animated adaptation might actually work

I hate how quiet it is, it makes me feel so much terror just thinking about how something unspeakably awful could be done to you or anyone else and it could be done silently enough for no one to know about it while it happens
