Would love to know it's performance for Video Editing??

Great video, is this your best performer?

Try to connect a 6K or 8K display to a PC with X Elite. Will that work?

I'm most excited with the prospect of running some variant of Linux for ARM on these Snapdragons. Mahalo for this signal65 report!

So it is the Windows M2 Pro. Still great from a battery and AI improvement, but trails the M3 Pro and the M4.

It took me a while to find…wasn’t readily available…it seems the surface laptop has a 66 whr battery vs a 53whr battery in the MacBook Air ….so that explains that….

Who provided the benchmarks and what tools were used? Qualcomm be all about the "synthetic" benchmarks. Real world performance does not equate to these numbers so far in regards to x86 apps.

It would be interesting to see the performance unplugged.

Why did they compare the elite chip with the base M3 model? It should be compared to the M3 pro. The snap dragon x elite plus should be compared to the base model.

Also the 45 TOPS is based on integers, which is inflated way of showing performance.

Efficiency in power video testing is little off because they did not adjust for the total battery size. 15" Air has 5% smaller battery so the battery test results need to be adjusted because it has a smaller battery for "efficiency" comparisons. AND WHO WATCHES Video at 150 Nits.... that's so dim?!?!?!

We can certainly compare this to the M4…since it’s already out…the MacBook Air will get the same benchmarks as the iPad pro

The Signal65 report was commissioned by Microsoft, so take that as you will.

Fan noise of MSI laptop seems like an anomaly. Cooling efficiency is heavily dependent on the laptops' overall mechanical design. Battery life difference bw Qualcomm, Apple and intel based MSI laptops were not huge - 15hr vs 21hrs. Considering that, we shouldn't get high fan noise during light loads. The study completely ignored AMD laptops which are similar in battery life to MSI.
Edit: both intel and AMD are going to launch their newer generation laptops sometime around the actual launch time of Qualcomm laptops. With intels lunar lake laptops said to be over 50% more efficient than the core ultra one while giving double the performance. Considering all that I think it's not going to be a home run for Qualcomm with these chips.

Yeah… super useful compare the LATEST Snapdragon X Elite with the Apple Silicon from a year ago… comparing apples with pinapples…

I am actually not impressed with SnapD E X on the Office and advanced productivity performance testing it should dominated the AM3 by far leaving it in the dust.

Qualcomm is holding back the development of ARM processors. Can’t wait for their exclusivity deal to end with Microsoft so we can have nVidia, AMD, and Intel enter the market.

My 3 year old base model M1 Pro 14 goes toe to toe with the not yet released highest end Qualcomm chip? I dunno if it's Apple magic or Qualcomm incompetence.

Cause my M1 Max with only 10 cores would smoke that Snapdragon.

Hey check if the snapdragon has 12 cores and that Mac only 10 because per core Apple silicon is the clear winner
