Help me make more cheesy content:

As deeply intertwined as they are, mental health isn't discussed often in the world of fitness. It is often a matter of mental health that can prevent people from engaging in the activities required to meet their fitness goals, especially if their goals require actions well beyond their usual lifestyle and willingness.

Interestingly, it may very well be exercise itself that can potentially provide an outlet for people to improve their mental health which might hopefully provide a clearer path in taking continued action for their goals, be it weight loss, building muscle, getting stronger, and so on. According to a new study, the type and intensity of exercise can have different effects on mental health factors, like anxiety and depression. Let's check this new study out and see if we can use the information it provides to help ourselves improve on this very important aspect of life.

I'm suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attack. I decided to back to my workout routine which I used to do before. First day was really exhausted, the next day I lost motivation. I pushed myself to workout. It's been 1 week. Now I'm really feel a little bit better than before ❤

Might be a good reason for me to incorporate swimming with my weightlifting especially since I don't enjoy walking in the cold. Then start walking again once it gets warmer again.

And than there is me who tought its 150min per day and didnt question it 😂
90 mins lifting & Warmup, 15 mins stretching, 30 mins Breakdance and finish off with relaxed 15 mins sauna.
I know sauna isnt really a workout but its still for my heart 🙃

That's abother reason to change the routine every 12 weeks / 3 months. For a non professional it's good because that keep the adherence high and keep the novelty and motivation for new things

The best exercise for mental health is to walk outside with trees and wide view of the sky optionally with a friend and it's better in the morning. Just get your heart rate up. Go on a bike to go faster if that makes it more fun. Just 5 min a day for mental health

My picks for best excercises:
>Walking in nature
>Punching and kicking something
>Push-ups (youre staring at the bottom the whole time or looking forward the whole time)

It doesn't matter what type of exercise you do, it only matters how intense, how long your workout is, and how many months or years you workout.

humans need physical struggle to scratch that primal hunting/gathering itch that the industrial revolution left behind

Thanks for the info. <150mins per week of moderate to high intensity? Very useful. The framing of the benefit over time seems odd. Surely it’s a degree of improvement from baseline, indicating asymptotic gains. In which case longer is better. The way it’s framed, that’s not clear.

After following this channel for YEARS I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the moving mouth.... Maybe something we have to get used to?

But HOW do you exercise with depression if you're constantly tired and even 5min feels agonizing?
