Why do Christians go to Church?

The devil is often portrayed as a malevolent force, seeking to corrupt and destroy all that is good in the world. But what many people don’t realise is that the devil is also a master manipulator and strategist, capable of exploiting the weaknesses of humanity to achieve his own ends.

From the temptation of Eve in the Garden of Eden to the trials of Job in the Old Testament, the devil has shown time and again that he is a formidable opponent who knows how to play the long game. He is skilled at exploiting our desires and fears, and can often appear in disguise as an angel of light in order to deceive and mislead us.

Despite his formidable capabilities, however, we must remember that the devil is not all-powerful. Through faith, prayer, and the support of our communities, we can resist his temptations and overcome his schemes. By staying vigilant and staying true to our values, we can avoid falling prey to his manipulations and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.

So let us recognise the capabilities of the devil, but let us also remember that we have the power to resist him and to overcome the challenges he presents. With faith, courage, and a commitment to doing what is right, we can overcome even the most formidable adversaries and emerge victorious in the end.

The devil doesn't fuel our prayer as Christians. We pray to fellowship with the Father and bring His' will to come to pass on earth

We go to church because God is worthy, not because the devil is capable. Satan is capable of *nothing* unless God allows it. So Christians aren't fearful of Satan, we're fearful of God. He's the only One who has power to kill both body and soul. Being fearful of God means having reverence for Him. Satan isn't even a second thought in the Christians mind. We're covered under the blood of Christ. We're sealed. And we're bold because of it.

To the degree that "you can't be evil and be incapable", I agree with you, VT. However, we don't go to Church BECAUSE we fear the devil's evil. We go to Church BECAUSE WE BELIEVE GOD IS WORTHY OF OUR WORSHIP. Victory over the devil is a natural derivative of our being in the presence of God's light and under the cover of His wings.

Christians don’t go to church because God instructed us to, we are one body and have to fellowship with each other and with the God head as one, God has prepared his teachers, Apostles, Pastors, Prophets for us(Gods Structure) so we can be trained to do the work of the ministry…. There are many more reasons… but we don’t go to church because we are afraid of the devil…

We are cognisant of our inequities, how much as a human race we have fallen and can not deliver ourselves out of Sin. God only, can only deliver us from our faultiness. Following Christ (God incarnate) accepting and believing (Sincerely)in him as Lord, with the Holy spirit that dwels in us can then bear the fruits of being Christ-like.

Which is the essence as to why we congregate at church, keeping each other in check on Doctrine and sharpening one another in living a sinless life

Yes we go to Church to fellowship, but don't think for a moment that there ain't evil forces. Don't think prayers are only for intimacy with the Holy Spirit. There are different types, so it'll be unwise to choose one over the other. Same God who's loving is also same God who moves in a pillar of cloud & fire. The name Jesus is far greater than other names, means there are other names - less powerful than Jesus, but still with some power to cause havoc.
So go to Church for deeper revelation of Christ, not just to sing & dance!
