I was in bodybuilding but wanted to lose some fat. Started running and fell in love with it. Just bought new running shoes as I`m going hybrid, and you`re my biggest inspiration! Thanks Nick, best wishes from Brazil!

I have been hybrid training for 18 months and it has been great. Running/biking a few times a week, CrossFit 2-3X per week, BJJ 3X per week, and time in nature. My body feels better and I'm still hitting PRs.

Nick, I've been lifting for years and running marathons since 2012. I discovered your channel a while back and I love it! Running & lifting >> Be Hybrid!!

Couldn't have come at a better time. I'm still active duty but I am not doing well in my physical health and I wanna improve to better lead my Soldiers and prove to them that their health is important. Not just the "a good PT score means a good leader". So this is perfect timing for me.

I'm a ex naval diver who went down the path of bodybuilding which I love. But I feel I have now lost my functional fitness and strength. This video came at the perfect time. Planning to also go hybrid

Nick,
Awesome video. Love how you are spreading the word on hybrid athletes. Growing up a college soccer player/ professional. My entire life I have always been a hybrid athlete. Something no one ever understood. Getting up before anyone is awake and getting a run in and then hitting some type of workout later in the day. I’ve always been a believer in full body workouts. Never the type to just hit one body part. It’s always helped with my athletic performances as well as work on the ranch and job, and my everyday health. Continue the good fight! This type of working out is what people truly need for overall health. God bless you and your family. ✊🏽 HYBRID

Like many others have said, this comes at such great timing. Was training for a marathon beginning of the year and have been getting into weight lifting recently. Your physique is inspiring and motivating! That’s what I’d like to achieve, and I believe it’s doable! I’ve also been reading Dr. Peter Attia’s book, which just reconfirms this drive to become strong and build endurance. Looking forward to the rest of the series. You’ve won a new subscriber.

I have achieved so much more since I combined running and strength training daily, especially for the military and police. I feel capable and do well on a wide variety of physical tests that were much more difficult when I specialized in strength and didnt run regularly. Thanks for both your inspiration and shared knowledge, Nick and for your service to our country.

Whoever filmed and edited this did an amazing job with the sound design & pacing of the edit to keep the audience's attention!

This video came at the right time for me. I’ve just started hybrid training as I signed up for a half marathon and started lifting to help prevent injury. But I’ve been feeling so exhausted especially when I get to the end of the week and I think because idk how to fuel myself. Idk how many calories to eat. Idk how much I expend and I also don’t want to get fat. So if someone could give me any advice I would be so grateful 😅 thanks xx

Excited for this series! Have always lifted weights consistently and did some cardio but really trying to dial in the details and optimize. Sometimes I worry about having a good leg day lifting session and then running on sore legs the days after and gonna get injured bc it then puts even more stress on my legs/joints etc before they can recover

I love being a hybrid athlete. Before I knew what a hybrid athlete was defined as my mindset was already there. Bring a collegiate athlete and train like I'm still playing I love it. I'm doing my first half ironman in December. Adding the training for this event has me focused. I was never a long distance runner or biker or swimmer so I'm really dialed in. I love my weight training so I can't give that up. Your videos are legit bro. Appreciate

I love how good Nick is at teaching us young men such a CRUCIAL LESSON:

That duality is good.
This guy shatters our priori beliefs that you can only be on one end of a continuum. He shows us constantly that it can be done.
Keep moving, brothers.

I’ve been on a fitness journey of my own, focusing on lots running and some lifting, not for any event, just to be a better version of myself.
5 months ago I was 246 lbs @ 5’10”. Fat, slow, out of shape.
I’ve been eating clean single ingredient foods and getting it in EVERYDAY!!! I’m down to 188 lbs and 17/18 % BF!!! I’m just getting started son!!!
Nick Bare is an inspiration to men everywhere!!!
Go Get It Boys!!!

Training for a 70.3 right now. The auto regulation aspect of training is HUGE. I stick to a weekly plan, rather than a strict daily plan.

I would love to see a "Couch to Hybrid Athlete" type program from you. I'm just about to get started back on my fitness journey after many years on the couch and am really vibing with the Hybrid idea. However, doing running and weights training at the same time from doing nothing seems very intimidating haha

Love this brotha. I've been lifting for years but the end of last year wanted to up my game and started going hybrid. Running several times a week, my weekly long runs are now between 10-13 miles and still lifting 3-4 times a week on top of playing basketball for fun. It can be a lot to manage but I've never felt better and it's all worth it. Looking forward to more hybrid content!

Okay, I am happy that I found this channel and especially this "How to Hybrid" thing. Right on time. I want to combine weight training + kickboxing (which includes running as well). Balance is key!

Stumbling upon your channel a few days after deciding to get back on the fitness bandwagon has been a godsend. A few years ago I was lifting and jogging despite conventional wisdom, loved both and was in the best shape of my life, unfortunately life (and knee pain) happened. While considering a return to fitness I thought I would have to pick only one activity; I'm excited at the prospect of learning how to do both safely and for the long term.
