I disagree the with the fact that she says you should check with your doctor before starting a plant-based diet. Most doctors are against it. They're not going to make money and neither is the pharmaceutical or anybody else

Wouldn't discuss my diet with most doctors. They dont know or care much about nutrition.

I had terrible chronic pain for 17 years. After losing 35 kg from gastric sleeve surgery, and then a ketogenic diet for 16 months, I realised after going off all my meditations that my pain had NOT disappeared. I decided to try the whole food plant based diet, and within 4 weeks the pain was all gone. This was 7 months ago and I have not looked back. I am SO grateful. Pirkko from Queensland Australia

I have been on the whole foods plant based diet for less than three months. My left hip and knee that had been diagnosed as having osteoarthritis have stopped being painful! It is truly a miracle.

I love being Vegan!
Not only because of the food but my body feels amazing! M
Mostly my stomach, I’ve notice I’d get bloated and diarrhea when I’d ear meat or diary.
The. I stopped diary and again bloated and diarrhea no to mention depression and anxiety, also I had psoriasis.
Now as vegan that went away my psoriasis is gone, no more bloating I also noticed I didn’t get sick at all anymore, or even season allergies is crazy !!!!
And I love it, love your body and listen to your body too

I have a transplanted kidney. My doc orders a special blood test every 2 years to catch rejection before it gets too bad. My number on that test in June 2021 was too high, indicating a need for possible biopsy. I'd been vegetarian for about 6 months to lose weight, but I went hard-core plant based in June and a repeat test in August 2021 shows a dramatic drop in the need for a biopsy. I'm convinced it's my diet and I know that a repeat test in December will be even better. I am so grateful to Drs Esselstyn et al for promoting this information! Life-changing!!!

I believe the key here is not 'plant based diet' but 'Whole food plant based diet'. Some of the research referenced is based on that assumption

Loved the video. Vegetarian since 1976 and vegan since 2012. Great news. Always enjoy hearing/ reading about reports confirming the benefits. Going plant based is the most self loving choice that we can make for ourselves and the planet. Here's to a happier, healthier life.

I've been mainly wholefood plant-based for nearly 4 years. When I eat processed vegan food I keep the saturated fat and processed sugars low.
My blood test results are amazing. My blood pressure is about 115 over 75. My dentist (same guy for over 30 years) told me that all the inflammation in my mouth has gone and the gum disease has stopped. Also because I keep the processed sugars low he doesn't have to do much cleaning.
If there's no inflammation in my mouth what about the rest of my body?
Never going back to my previous type of diet.
I supplement with vitamins B12 and D. (I work nights.)
Bonus is a lot less harm to the animals and the environment.

I never thought I would not have meat in my diet. I’ve been a meat eater all my life. I’ve cut out meat 100%. I’m 50 years old and 6 months ago I weighed 240lbs now 180lbs. My pain that was daily and multiple times a month I had gout flare ups which are super painful are now almost non existent.

I dont eat vegan 100%. I'm about 95%. I changed my diet when my doctor mentioned high blood pressure. Two days go it was 100/60. I'm 52 years old. I feel amazing and will never go back.

My doctor wanted me on cholesterol pills I didn't take them instead I went plant based and after getting my blood work results he told me my high cholesterol is gone and asked if I was still taking the pill 💊 I said no it was with diet alone. And he insisted I take it either way lol and of course I'm not so I just lie to him now haha

Wow me and my daughter we're about to try this journey together. Because every time we eat meat we feel sick I'm a certified chef and I never once thought of doing plant-based diet. I'm tired of being overweight I want to be healthy inside and out. I'm also tired of eating animals if you really think about it it's just ew. Like the late Dick Gregory say I eat nothing that fart, pee, doo doo, or screw... Something like that in that order...

I have been plant based off and on for a few years. I have to go for it 100%. Time is running out. I don’t want to be lying in the hospital with regrets of not doing it sooner.
