He gave me very good specific advice on how to improve the click-through rate (CTR) of images for a pet toy.
One of the ASINs of the same client had a bad review, which caused a drop in sales and overall performance. Since this ASIN doesn't have many reviews, the negative review stands out clearly. Steven suggested that I ask the client to have a couple of friends purchase the product and write reviews. Although Steven advised that this is against the TOS, we could suggest it to the client and make it clear that it should be done subtly and only once, just to balance out the star ratings
We also discussed pricing. The price of this product is higher than that of other competitors and requires a boost in sales velocity. Steven suggested lowering the price significantly, to the point of discomfort. 'Sales get more sales,' as the saying goes!
