I had a dead craftsman battery and “jumped” it with a Dewalt battery. Don’t have to be the same mfg. Worked but shouldn’t you connect the ground first like you would on a car battery?

Ur a savior thank lord lol. Just not too long ago got a dcf900 with a new battery on amazon i have no idea how the battery went out but got it back i used a plug in from the wall and stripped the wires and shot it w that only having one battery. But sure enough worked

I got myself a dc variable power supply that works well for this, slowly wind it up and then bang it on charge. Good hack !

i had to do that because if you leave the adapter in for the old style batteries it will suck all the volts out of it

beside that if it's lithuim battery then most time if a battery goes dead the is a high change that the battery is damge inside from going flat and lead to them either over heating and venting or worst case expolding and catch on fire

What happens when a brand new charger just continues to blink and never charges any battery new or old. And yes, it's pushed in all the way.
