The main issue is using mods that are not for that version of the game. Dont watch this video. Try that, if it doesnt work, this video wont help you at all.

I downloaded optifine on forge 1.19.2, i've checked multiple times that all i understand is in order, tried all of these except "stop using mods", and it won't run, I keep getting this same -1 exit code crash
when i remove optifine from the mods folder it runs, but it's too slow and laggy to reasonably play without optifine
is there anything else i can try??? i'm very lost

Potential solutions for solving Exit Code -1:
1: Download optimization mods that aren't Optifine (Optifine usually doesn't work with mods. Unless a mod specifically says it works with optifine (which is rare), assume it won't.

2: Allocate RAM to the version you're playing. You can do that by going to "Installations" on the Minecraft Launcher clicking "..." next to the version you're trying to play, clicking "Edit", then "More Options". Under More Options it will say "JVM Arguments" and will have some code or something that can be edited. The first line will be along the lines of "-Xmx[number here][letter here]". The number and letter can change. Replace the number with however much RAM you want to allocate (if you don't know how much, I generally recommend at least 6), and replace the letter with "G" if it isn't that already. If -Xmx[number][letter] appear twice, ignore the second one. Then save and try playing. If it's still giving you exit code -1 and crashing, allocate more RAM.
I apologize if I explained that poorly. It really is much easier than I made it sound.

3: If all has failed, you can try using per-existing modpacks (if you're not already doing so). So if you go to a website like CurseForge there's pretty much a modpack for any play-style you want, and they're usually much more optimized than if you were to just download random mods you found interesting.

Thanks, now it starts a crashlog saying that the mod RM is for 1.20.1 not 1.21. It's really funny because forge doesn't let you to put mods that aren't for the same modloader and game version in the same modpack. And trying loading 5 mods (of 98) at a time the game works, when I get around the last 20 - 15 mods to check, this happens and even when removing the last loaded mods the game still reports the same problem. Also, no this is not the RM modpack, love that there is a crashlog that name of the mod with a page full of codes telling you the problem and the mod name, but the mod name is useless.
