What’s that ONE thing you’ve been putting off forever?

the secret is just to stretch every day! however if you stretch too much and it hurts more than usual to do smth, wait a day or two before stretching again. speaking from experience here!

I will warn you!!! OVERSTRETCHING is a MAJOR problem I see with this!! I was serious about getting my splits too (still am) and I went too far and pulled my sciatic nerve. Literally sitting down hurts, moving hurts, stretching hurts, walking hurts, shifting hurts. EVERYTHING HURTS SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL ⚠️

EDIT (8/13/23): DO WARM UPS BEFORE STRETCHING BTW

For anyone whos interested im a ballet dancer and have spent alot of time strexhing and figuring out more effective ways to gain flexibility so here are some tips
1. Warm up before you strech
2. Active streches are more effective than stagnant streches ie. Pulling for leg closer with your arms and pushing away with your leg or trying to use your legs to lift out of the splits for 10 seconds then going a little deeper
3. Streching after a warm bath especially with epsom salt is super helpful
4. Consistency is key but you dont need to strech every day your muscles need a break from streching just like they need a break from exercise
5. Your muscles are all conected so streching your whole body or in the case of the splits the different muscle groups in the leg is really helpful for example i noticed zoe did not strech her hamstrings or glutes much
5. Steching can be uncomfertable but it should not be downright painful that can be a sign you are overstreching and driving your progress backwords

You can do this 💕💕:)

It took me 4+ months (can’t remember the exact timeline) to get the splits on 1 side. Some people get it faster, some slower. But it sure takes dedication! To all out there wanting splits you can do it! Consistency is key!

I’m a rhythmic gymnast and the basis of the sport is splits.
the biggest tip I could give is that it’s low intensity stretching with consistency and the right form.
Consistency is really the most important thing

I think flexibility is probably 50% related to genetics (according to my pilates instructor? ).
I was always very flexible, while my sister has... almost no flexibility haha. And we never tried any stretching exercises. We're just built differently.
But I wanna be able to do splits! I've never tired but it's also been on my bucket list. Since I'm already quite flexible, I hope this won't be too bad! Pray for me haha.

I recommend anyone who wants to get that, video:intense middle split stretch routine (alivia d'andrea) I used her routine and in a week as a starter I got it(18yr) and till this day I can still do my splits (21yr)and I know the routine by heart 😅 good luck💜

That's determination right here 👏 I tried learning how to do the splits once, I tried for about 3 days and then gave up 😅 great job Zoe !

You guys, I jsut wanted to say this is not the right way to get the splits, the splits s not supposed to be painful. One time, I stretched and pushed myself to hard and I now have a slight hamstring injury, I’m ok now but sometimes I gotta stretch a little lighter because I have a tiny bit of hamstring pain when I do the splits. Make sure to take your time, take baby steps, and you will get ur splits pain free. God bless have a good day!😊

Hello! I feel your pain doing the splits is extremely hard. I once fell over from doing the splits and I was paralyzed

I’m a yoga enthusiast and I’ve been doing daily yoga for nearly three years. I am very flexible. I cannot get a full split. And you know what, it’s ok. I’m close, but continually training for it resulted in a tendon injury. Strength and flexibility go hand in hand, so I backed off the stretching and started working more on strength. Once the tendon is healed I can go back to back to splits training, but with stronger muscles and tendons. :)

Little story time: so when I was around 4 years old I went to dance class once a week, and 1 day in class my teacher asked us if we can all do the splits, my teacher walked around to everyone seeing if they could do the splits and the teacher walked up to me to see if I can. I then slid into the splits not knowing that I could do it. Do this day I am very flexible. The trick is to stretch everyday. I love your Channel. Love u 💗💗
