X-MEN FIRST CLASS -- In cinemas June 1 2011

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I'm not an X Men fan but I have to admit, what a cute scene on how someone like Mystique meets a kind soul name Charles Xavier.

And thus emerged a bond of friendship so innocent and strong that she would one day try to poison him while he was helplessly sitting in his wheel chair ...

Xavier: Who are you ?
Raven: I'm your mom, look at how kind I am to you
Xavier: Jokes on you, my mom never be kind to me,

Even as a child, Charles was nicest person you could ever meet

Raven: Your not scared of me?

Charles: weren't you scared of my voice in your head.

Even as a young child, Charles proved himself to be extraordinary in spite of his mutant powers and not because of them.

In this scene Charles is wearing blue striped pajamas
and somewhere in Auschwitz Erik is probably wearing one too

The feels make it suck how she later became a villain.

Charles: I always knew that one day a little blue girl would show up in my house completely by chance, only to conveniently become my sister leading to her playing a massive influence in the state of the cold war, mutant-human war, and other terrible events suching as betraying me for the man who will one day put me in a wheel chair... Yeah I always knew...

This is such an emotional scene. We can see how even at such a young age when everyone else was afraid of mutants charles welcomed them despite knowing who they where and how dangerous they could be. He could truly understand them and use his powers for good. He was a true empath even without his powers. He had the power to see the good in people. Saw their fears rather than as dangerous people

That would be so creepy if you knew that that wasn’t your mom and you didn’t have mutant powers.

My favorite irony in this whole universe is that Charles, based on his abilities alone, is probably the all-time biggest threat to mankind. As a child, as soon as he realized what he could do I imagine the idea that he could make people do whatever he wanted crossed his mind at least once, even if he didn't consider using it that way.
While the villains depicted like Dark Phoenix or Magneto are physically powerful and have control over one or more forces of nature, Charles wields power over people directly. He is not only able to read your mind but control it better than other mutants with similar powers; he could completely enslave the entire species, including the majority of mutants from the safety of his home and Cerebro, should he have chosen to, but he didn't.

Whether or not this is a worse fate than simply being willed out of existence or destroyed physically is a matter of philosophy.

"I always knew a naked blue goblin would rob my kitchen"
- Charles, probably

Why can't this happen again in X-Men Apocalypse. The relationship between Charles Xavier and Raven Darkholme was so wonderful.

Honestly, if she showed up at my place, I would've let her stay too. Knowing my mom, she would've adopted her, mutant or not.

I like how multi-faceted and complex they portray Mystique. Usually the writers make her a bland, one-dimensional villain. This Mystique is way better.

this is how humans are supposed to interact and adore each other, like these innocent kids.
*regardless of color, shape, size, race, religion, etc...*

How come when a mutant breaks into a house and steals food, it's "cute" and she makes friends with the occupants. But when I break into someone's house to steal food, I'm a "creep" and "going to jail"?
