You know for such an iconic boot, there aren't a lot of reviews of it compared to how long it's been on the market.

Good to see Copa reviews out here, they're so iconic! Personally I go down 1.5 sizes compared to normal. Gives a nice, close fit for me.

Just got a pair of these in the Italy version for just £60. Every other boot I've tried over the last couple of years has suffered from Sole Separation from use on AG, and I'm getting old so it's time for a pair of ol' reliables! Thanks for the review, crazy how few of them are out there on the Copa's given how iconic there are!

Got mine for about $80 US, but there was a more noticeable problem with sole separation. That was because I made the mistake of purchasing these boots at size 12 not realizing how big they were.

I played in these when I started playing keeper because I was mostly looking for protection and comfort, getting your foot stepped on or kicked is never fun but I promise it hurts way less with a leather upper than it does with a paper thin synthetic upper lol

It rarely gets a mention that any Kangaroo leather boot requires some care. They need to be cleaned and conditioned after they get wet or extra dirty. I clean off then stuff with newspaper and then use Chelsea Leather Food. I suppose any leather conditioner would work though. This regular maintenance keeps the leather from drying out and help that leather remain butter soft. If not the leather will dry out and eventually tear.

It’s more expensive because they still produce it in Germany, it’s recently the only boot from adidas which is made in Germany

One of my dream boots, but I can't purchase in India. There has have Puma Maradona argitina boots, quite same features . Both are superb

I've just bought them. And you kinda touched every question I had. I'm 40+, but still play at a lower level, and my struggle with comfort, shoe size, and most importantly WIDTH, has been persistant. Moreover, all the shoes i had do separate on the contact with sole. My Predators II held up better than average, but the narrow design has been killing me. I need a 1.5 size increase to fit them. Finaly i decided to grab these (they didn't have size for a Mizuno Elite model), and will start on them real soon. Like tomorrow 😂
One thing tho, did you treat the leather before use, and how did you maintain them after matches, especialy the wet and muddy ones?
Thanks :)

Your leather should never crack. Proper care would eliminate the possibility.

Just bought these. I'm a uk 11 (fairly wide feet, narrow ankles). I bought a uk10 and a uk 10.5. 10.5 were super comfy out of the box but there was too much space at the end of the toes. The 10, I thought, theres just no way I can wear these, big toes were pressing against the top (not the end of the boot). I wore them around the house for a number of hours for two days then did a 30 min run on grass. They now feel perfectly tight but yet i can still wiggle my toes with no discomfort. I havent used them 'in anger', but so far, moral of the story: one full size down for me.

Adidas would easily drive up sales of the basic Copa Mundial by simply giving it more colorways, like Nike has done with the Premier. It baffles me that Adidas doesn't do it.

In every match, there are at least three people wearing Copa Mundial soccer shoes: one main referee and two assistant referees.
