Got the Germany colorway, and I love them (though I’m considering replacing the comically long laces). Definitely go a full size down for sizing.

Just got mine 🇲🇽 ! Copa Mundial run long consider always getting a size down . The long laces have a purpose and that’s to wrap around middle sole plate to maintain elasticity on the middle upper . The folded tongue is to prevent knot from effecting ball direction when striking the ball .

As an oooold school player 😅 I always had the laces around the back studs. Started on Quick's in the 70s and in the 80s I played on Puma because of Maradonna. The tongue had to be folded to keep it into place. In 2012 I finally bought my Copa Mundial's and never looked back. Still in mint condition

Two things to note: basic copa mundials dont have a removable insole, so these arent 100% the same as the black&white ones.
Secondly there is a third option with the tongue, folding it inward to hide it and getting a really clean striking surface. Its gonna stay out of the way like that :)

I think the thinness of the upper is one of the biggest misconceptions about this boot. It’s really not that padded at all. I agree it’s marginally less padded than the Morelia II. The leather I think is marginally thicker though which adds to the durability. It’s truly a great boot!
Definitely need to go 1 to 1.5 sizes down to really play in them though

I went only half a size down and the leather already stretches a lot after 2 short sessions.

Hi Noah, great video ! Sorry for the long commment but just wanted to get your opinion on this. I feel like I may be inbetween sizes in boots and unsure what ones to get. In most boots I think I’m half a size smaller than you (tekela, adidas boots, Mizuno) but with Nike hypervenom 3 for example I have to go the same size as you because 8.5 US feels too small. Is this due to the boot or Nike as a whole, (as there US to UK sizing is a whole size instead of a half like on other brands) thank you !

Big hint- with any real leather boot you own and want to custom fit, put them on and run them under a tap from heel to toe. The leather will soften and adjust to your feet...
