Enjoy this visual breathing exercise. This is called box breathing.
Inhale, hold, exhale, then hold for 4 seconds each
Breathe in 4 seconds,
Hold 4 seconds,
Breathe out 4 seconds,
Hold 4 seconds.
If 4-4-4-4 feels too slow or too fast, try my app Pocket Breath Coach. You can customize the timing however you want. And it has lots of other calming sounds to choose from.
You take 3.75 breaths per minute when doing this exercise.
