Deadlifts, weighted pull ups, and horizontal rows. Whether it’s barbells dumbbells machines whatever this is really all you need for a beastly back.

Frequent back workouts featuring a variety of movements has given me the best results. Pull-ups, deadlifts, farmer carries, and rows are excellent compound exercises.

I think kettlebell swings are a good addition. Helps strengthen grip and whole trunk, and it helps strengthen stabilizing muscle. I think it’s a good supplement for your other workouts, most people’s deadlifts improve from kettlebells

Let's throw the Meadows Row in there!

Pull ups is the 👑 of back development ( and upper body) work on form and safety before achieving high reps and your body will v taper. Resistance bands are amazing as well because they allow the pulls to squeeze out. 👌

I like unilateral rows with a landmine setup. They're great for core stabilization. Similar to a dumbbell row without leaning on something I guess.

Respect for bringing up Yates row. Best way to do it!

Dumbbell pull overs
2 sets warm up weight and heavy 10 rep, weight (shoulders on bench only)

2 super sets of 20 pull up (grip slightly outside shoulder width) and 10 chin ups super set(picture yourself driving your elbows to the ground in a pull over style, but raising your torso away from the bar like a pendulum swing, your lats will be on fire)

Bent over cable rows for the wildest stretch and contraction(start with feet far enough from machine that you have weighted tension on your full my stretched back, then pull and twist palms up, elbows pulled back a foot behind the spine lmao)

super set with a third the weight in your bent over cable rows, just do it for single arm, keeping shoulders square and slow ripping the cord like a spinning elbow to target all low traps)

best back exersize my opinion snatch grip deadlifts from midshins. use a band that pulls the bar forward a tiny bit so you have pull back the bar using the lats

vertical pull, horizontal pull, and deadlift. Everyone has the same opinion. I guess the basics work.

Consistent Deadlift = thick and dense back. See a lot of guys that love a pull up that’s looks great from the front or back but in profile flat as a pancake.

I like to do 4 exercises for thickness and 2 for width tbh

Does the overhand row build the upper back or does all of them build the upper back? It’s a priority of mine right now to build my upper back so which one is best for that?
