Insurance companies and insurance adjusters never cease to amaze me. It's even worse when we're dealing with our client's own insurance company.

They're happy to take your money each month, but when it's them that should pay, NOT SO FAST...

What happens when YOU don't pay? They CANCEL your insurance...

What happens when THEY don't pay? You have to SUE them... #personalinjurylaw #insurance #paywhatyouowe

I’ve always heard insurance is like a two headed dog on one hand they’re there for you, but on the other hand, the fight tooth and nail never to pay.

Isn’t that great? When the person is in the lowest, they want to drag it on and play like they’re doing you a favor, but take your money every month for decades. Disgusting

Sometimes you get a clear policy limits case or at least with something with some meat on it from an injury standpoint. The vast majority of people who make claims are not injured, it's a money grab for the attorney and ;the claimant. Hell, most times, it's the lawyer that arranges "medical care" at a chirocracker's office.

On the flip side, as an injury adjuster on a regular basis we deal with lawyers who inflate claims without proper precedent asking ridiculous amounts of money for simple soft tissue injuries.

Can you get more than the policy limits without going to trial or litigation ? Just settling through negotiations?

the police hit my car. pain and suffering, lost wages, ptsd, ptsd... My lawyer's 1st demand was a coverage max of 150, 000. they countered with 55, 000. Should we file suit as a poker bluff to get to the max but not really go to court, or just counter with 125k? My lawyer wants to counter with 125k, but I don't trust him. I need an un-bias council's opinion. Court expenses will eat into my settlement so I don't really want to go, i just want to bluff them into a higher payout more towards 150, 000. Any thoughts?
