As a former adjuster, I didn't care what you asked. The only thing I hated was my job. I wasn't too fond of my boss either.

"0:13" -- "What is your average claim payout?"
"1:21" -- "Can you pay me 2X your first offer?" (a.k.a. "What degree of settlement authority do you have?")
"1:51" -- "Whe[re] can I see your past settlement offers?"
"3:29" -- "How much payout authority did you request?"
"5:02" -- "What can I do for you to pay more?"
"6:25" -- "How much money can you offer me?"
"7:00" -- "How often do you settle in less than 3 offers?"
"8:15" -- "Do you like paying out less?"
"9:08" -- "Are you going to fight my case?"

These tips are great for helping you understand that the insurance company wants to settle your claim as quickly and as cheaply as possible. They'll even go so far as to send you a check for a few hundred dollars and a waiver to sign that releases them from all claims you have! If you get something like that from an insurance company after you have been injured, contact a lawyer ASAP. If you are in Florida, give Justin a call!

We had a drunk driver hit a fire hydrant up above our house, and it only flooded under and around our house.
The policeman didn't put it in the report even though some of them had come to our house.
The adjuster says I need proof even though I have sent video and we all know the date of service never changes, and you know they paid out on 5 hours of water to the water company!
Not to mention, the girl left the scene and went to her house and mile down the road.
She is making me provide receipts for things I haven't purchased yet to replace items.
Like rugs that were on my screened in porch covered in debris.

I have a question over a car accident . I was t bone while driving on the far right lane. Its was a 7 lane road with 3 on my side and 3 on the other side and one in the middle lane for cars to get in and out of driveway.

On my side of the road there was traffic on my left two lane and my lane was clear to the light. I was drive about 30 in a 40. It seem like the jeep just went threw the cars on lane left of me. I didn't see enough space gap that would let me know the car was passing across.

We both have the same insurance and my adjuster want me to give a statement to the other parties adjuster. Should i do it?

Hi. I was involved in a head-on accident that was not my fault. Fortunately I walked away without any serious injuries but minor scratches and bruises-Just a small laceration on one finger. What’s the potential compensation? Any advice? Thanks.

These questions are more funny 😄 I wish I had the range to negotiate 3x but I'll be low balling and I am not about that. I believe average payout is more of a supervisor or manager metric because I have never been pressured to settle less than what we determine is fair. I only was told once what my payout was, and that was because I asked.

I'm fighting Gallagher and Bassett. A client of their Michaels craft store falsely accused me of shoplifting and actually grabbed and took my personal property while I was at check out. Gallagher and Bassett got involved. Their first offer was $100. The second was $4, 100. This makes me think I have a bigger case than I thought. I have not accepted yet and need advice. Can't find any.

We had a garage fire three weeks ago. On the sentimental items we put 1800.
We have appointment Monday with claims adjuster to talk just about those items.
What does he want?
We thought 1800 was practical
Three tubs full of things from kids childhood memories, class rings, journal, awards jewelry!
VHS tapes of Disney movies.
What do we say?
Thanks
Paul

@realjustinziegler question on the example you gave of the 18k offer vs the 25k. If your firm took the standard 33% wouldn’t this customer have received only 17k after your involvement? If yes, did you take less than the 33% on that case and let them keep at least the original offer? Can you elaborate on that because by basic math it raises questions.
