Summary:
1. Dehydration
If you are careless about your water intake, sodium has all the more potential to dehydrate you. Either you increase your water consumption, or cut back on salt.

2. Bloating Along With Swelling
Do you hate the puffy face you get the next day after binge eating high sodium junk food? Many of us try avoiding junk before parties, so we don’t end up with the bloated face.

3. Kidney Stones
The most common advice anyone with kidney stones gets is to keep drinking plenty of fluids. Have you ever thought about why? It turns out fluid intake not only helps them flush stones out, but it also prevents the formation of renal stones in the first place.

4. High Blood Pressure
The answer lies with your kidneys. Indiscriminate salt intake makes it difficult for them to keep up with excess sodium. And when sodium concentration increases, your body starts holding on to the water in an attempt to dilute extra sodium.

5. Risk Of Stomach Cancer Increases
Stomach cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the world. It’s important to eliminate its risks as much as we can through diet.

Meat is NOT high in sodium. Processed meats, which are sandwich meats, deli meats, etc. have high sodium. But meat, chicken and pork in their natural state are not high in sodium. Fresh fish is also not high in sodium. But when fish, chicken, beef, etc. are frozen, they often soak the food in high sodium solutions for preservation and to increase the water weight. Always read labels, and buy fresh meats and fish from local sources when you can. That way you can talk to the worker/owner about where it is coming from and be assured it is fresh.

The brain thing Is definitely me. I don't be remembering anything I did or studied two minutes ago unless I pause and think a bit hard. And I eat salty snacks every day.😢😢😢 and be crying out on why I be feeling so slow and dumb in my head. It was a helpful video. I will try to cut back on salt.😧

I knew about high blood pressure, dehydration, swelling and kidney stones what I didn't is a high salt diet caused stomach cancer, cognitive dysfunction and salt addiction.

Bestie should be showed in all schools for students on how to protect your body/brain, perform at a functioning level and how to maintain it in great/optimal condition.

YouTube videos and classic google researching is how I'm figuring out how to eat better and become overall healthier. And ofc talking to my doctor, but I mostly like to do my own research. This is super helpful :)

Thank you for this video, I have learnt a lot from it. I've recently been told to move onto a low sodium diet after a routine test found I have overt proteinuria. I've been having problems with swollen hands, brain fog and back pain around kidney area. I am finding the diet transition a real challenge!

While dodging processed food i failed to notice my lack of salt intake.
When i got COPD i lived on puffers of three types.
Even that was not successful.
Then a while later i started getting serious crams in feet eventually moving to include my legs .within a few years it would as always start at my feet and moved to my body.
Eventually it was a full body and head seizure .Paniced as i felt it was about to stop my heart when it was contorting my whole body including my face.
Only way i could stop it was salt.
Which also stop all COPD symptoms also.

Why don’t you compare sugar to salt and see, which is the most damaging?

That means all the food that I've been picking out even food that's supposed to be good for me that's process has way too much hidden salt or salt in it and that's the reason why my feet started floating up 😐

Thank you brother I was wondering why my face got puffy all of a sudden in 3 months while rest of my body is in good shape while I m
consuming less food than I ever did in 5 years I thought it migh be because I started wearing glasses for past few months but it turns out I was eating way, way too much salt and I need to stop that I never knew salt could do that I was feeling down by my puffy face for a while 😂 I might be a crazy introverted guy but looking at mirror at yourself and not seeing clear jawline really hurts specially if you are used to seeing it for your life 😅
