Gochujang have a very rich red colour not orengish. You should have used Kashmir lal Mirch powder because it is the closest to Korean red chilli peppers. And for additional flavor they add fish sauce or soya bean paste. And the more you Ferment it the more flavor it will develop. I am late but hope it is helpful 😊

This is not how it's supposed to be made.... It requires authentic Korean ingredients which are lil hard to find in India....
