Free zone aren't exempt from corporate tax. Only qualifying income are exempt from tax. And fta doesn't clarified what they meant by qualifying income

This information is half correct. There has always been the need for qualifying income, which does not cover most services. Yes a qualifying free zone person can trade with the mainland and remain tax free, the key is to be a QFZP, which in most cases companies will not be

what if it is a virtual company in free zone?

I know that only a limited field of activities in free zones have a chance to pay zero tax. Lots of the companies will have to pay, but %9 is not high, I do not know if there is any profit distribution tax liability to company partners?

Can you quote a section or article from law that all the profit of free zone companies will be subject to tax or the tax will be only on profit made on the transaction with the mainland companies?

I opened a company in free zone in Dubai, I registered a patent, I developed a consumer product and I want to sell the product to a European company, how come I don't pay tax? Let's say I received payment for the product, how do I transfer the money to Switzerland? Can I withdraw dividends?

Hi Jerri, I heard any mainland transactions will be taxed. I didn’t know ALL transactions including overseas would be taxed too?

Can you clarify this please. Thank you
