I happily clicked on this because I am doing keto (having been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's) and I am naturally small - 5 feet, 4 inches. At my largest I weighed 130 pounds. I am now down to 114 pounds. I prefer protein as too much fat (i.e. a breakfast of bacon and eggs) sometimes makes me feel nauseous but I still eat it knowing I need the calories. I understand this is a very unique situation so maybe I was expecting too much from this video.

I know this struggle. I have to eat 3-4k calories in one sitting because I eat once a day. Eating food is not fun :D

Just in time for the new year! Thank you. I do have some questions though...

What are your views on I.F. for muscle gain as there was some research showing optimal muscle growth when the I.F. window was around 16:8 and broken with protein.
Also how can one negate the blood sugar spikes during this refeeding process? I find low muscle mass means my blood sugar goes over desirable levels if I have carbs in most forms

I lost a bunch of weight to type 2 diabetes, now I'm trying to put the weight back on but I can't eat a bunch of carbs so it's been slow going.

I’m 6, 1 170 pounds skinny frame, interested in intermittent fasting for the health benefits of autophagy. I want to put on muscle/weight. Is there anyway you can have 3 nutrient dense meals and intermittent fast. There’s not much information on this would you have any tips if you don’t mind me asking, please

Do you personally still count all your calories/weigh food/etc or do you have an intuition at this point to where it's no longer necessary?

Aesthetically, skinny has a big advantage when you start lifting weights. When you put on muscle you don't have to struggle like hell to get all that lard off the top of them to show up. You go around looking 'ripped' without having to extreme diet that wrecks you libido and causes other health problems. At the end of the day, unless you're actually trying to win Mr. Olympia, I would rather look like Frank Zane than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I Disagree a bit about the thing about how filling macronutrient. Carbs are the most filling (especially when mixed with more complexe kind). refine sugar/juice yes.
I'd go still go with a fair amount of fiber(>40g actually also needed to gain weight trough proper gut lining etc) and still stay low in fat and and not too high in protein despite being less filling because one still need to be healthy to gain proper weight. Put less kcal on breakfast than last meals.
I'd also think about variety also (sweet/acid etc, colors...).
