Thank you for that statement. You made my point that I’ve been making for years that just because you can pass a test doesn’t necessarily in any means you can drive worth a damn. I’ve seen people with licenses not be able to drive them selves out of a wet paper bag. I’ve also seen people without licenses drive like they’ve been driving for decades.

I've been an instructor in europe for almost 5 years now and I have to tell you that in less than half an hour you made more sense and sounded more professional than anyone I've come across in this business. Wish I had the chance of working close to people like you, keep this up.

I first was a little offended by his comment in regards to only getting them to pass a road test but as I thought about it, he's absolutely right. I'm an instructor in the U.S. and I've had lessons that ended at 10:30 p.m. in the heavy storms with the exception of tornado/hurricane warnings, snow, or icy weather. I have a very good track record of helping students pass the road test with high marks, however, I do receive my share of negative complaints but none were regarding my instructions. It was hard for me to receive these types of negative critiques because I felt I was getting attacked for doing my job. I am sincerely passionate about producing safe drivers and in doing so I take every lesson personally which I now know is my mistake. I always wonder why my colleagues seem to have an I don't care attitude, you either get it or you don't and if you don't we are staying in the parking lot, next. Thank you this was very helpful.

I live in Virginia and have a very big passion for the Transportation field. I have my class B cdl that I earned from truck driving school and just finished taking two required driving courses at Northern Virginia Community College to get my career-studies certificate in drivers education to become a driving instructor. Wow! There was NO actual lessons on how to teach. I passed the tests. Evaluated by a state commissioner in Minnesota. Plan on watching more videos. I feel it is my responsibility to teach well.

Dr. August, greeting again from Penn State, State College PA. Thank you for another amazing constructive video. I have been watching many of yours and they are great. I really enjoy your humor. Moreover, I am driving safer as well. I am also glad that you have introduced me to this Disney's "Motor Mania". I think it is such a great ice-breaker/orientation material for my mentee. As I mentioned, I will take her out for her knowledge test this Friday. If she passes her test and receive her permit. I am planning to work with her 3 days per week, 4 hours per day (with a break in middle) for 4 weeks to prepare for the road test. That would add up to about 48 hours, roughly about what a teen needs to even register for his or her road test. I wonder if this plan is plausible. Would 4 hours per day be too much? In addition, I would appreciate it if you could provide me your teaching plans. I am trying to create my own based on internet suggestion and your videos. Anything will help. Hi Rick, am currently in ohio I have family in Canada looking forward to moving to Canada and have a career as a driving instructor what is the prep work or courses i need to go take to get this all started. Secondly what should be my first step I can take or some courses online to start take before I go there or do I need to go there first to through the process. I would really appreciate your advice thank you.
