Defensive driving is a skill where you try to anticipate potential hazards around you, and you’re prepared to react quickly.
So when you’re driving, just assume that one of the drivers on the road may be reckless. Be prepared for sudden stops or swerves. Because one day you might be right. But at least you’ll be prepared.

Decades ago I was behind a pickup truck piled high with junk, but nothing tying it down. My Spidey sense said to pass the truck, and I changed lanes. Good thing I did, too. Looking in my rear view mirror, I saw a plastic lawn chair fly off the back. I would have encountered it had I not changed lanes and sped up.
