Excellent explanation of what walking does for the heart! My cardiologist said that many athletes have a heartbeat of 35BPM.

That’s a great trail you’re on. My husband and I walk everyday. We get 12, 000-15, 000 steps a day. We are in training for the Camino De Santiago (Coastal Route) in September. 88 miles over 6 days.

Not moving is the worst thing you can do for your heart and body. Even if you are weak, sick, or tired, do your best to move your body in the safest way possible

When my brother used to jog daily he had a low heart rate as well.

I got to a point where I exercised so much my at rest heart rate was 28.

Then I started having flutter. To much is bad too.
