Great Video. Just beat the Brakes off someone by countering his scholar checkmate. Dude had absolutely no answers and I ended it by putting him in a Checkmate. I was Black, but regardless it's beautiful. Keep up the good work.

I absolutely don't mean this as a dig at other chess content creators but, for me, you're the best chess teacher online. you also seem like a very nice person. some people are just great at relaying complex information in a simple and easily understandable manner and you, sir, are one of those people. so thank you and congrats. I'm really glad I've found your channel.

First off: I love your videos, and have studied many of your videos about openings, as they are all amazing.

Second: It would be really cool if you could do a video on kings gambit - drunken king/tumbleweed variation. I know it’s a joke opening, but it would be really funny to use against my friends.

When your opponent plays early queen out to attack you, but it's actually you who is attacking him/her.

Some of these "annoying" and "unsound" early Queen attacks are pitched in other videos as a way to crush an opponent. Most of my opponents are not noobs and thus decline to be crushed. Refutations like this are why.

I really like your content - it's clear and practical, emphasizing just what we need to know, all in a very straight-to-the-point way that I appreciate. I'll be honest, at first your channel name didn't grab me because it's quite dry and literal for a brand identity, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's some of the most helpful instructional chess content on here.

4:40 Out of three possible moves to escape the check, Kxf7 is the worst move. Kf8 is the best and Ke7 the second best. This is according to Stockfish.
Of course either way black loses (with perfect play) so it's also correct to say that all three moves are equal.

These videos are great, shame I barely remember half of the moves when I'm in my own game.
