Loving my postpartum body started in pregnancy for me. I didn't say "see ya later" to my old body, I said "bye for good!" as it changed. I learned in high school anthropology that a woman's bone structure changes once she carries and births a baby. I don't need to "get my body back" I have a brand new body capable of incredible things 🙌🏼🥰 I really appreciate your passion on this topic 👏🏼

Thank you!! I also strongly dislike these types of videos. Makes me feel not good enough. Because I gradually lose little by little. I don't remember who said this; but remember your body took 9 months to give birth to a beautiful child. Give yourself time, with good food, moderat activity during the day and a healthy dose of love, you will be just fine ❤❤

Yes! Exactly. I'm literally in tears, there is enough pressure on new mums with mothering choices, not to mention their bodies. I once heard someone say I don't need to bounce back, I want to bounce forward, and I think that's perfect!

Agreed 💯! Motherhood journey is hard enough as it is..either you support it or shut your mouth and get out of the way..this is my weight and I will choose how when and at what speed I want to get rid of..

Lol I just love you. Thanks for being the positive big sis! I’m on my second pregnancy and I’m only 1 year post partum and I got pregnant when she was only 7 months LOL so I’m probably carrying baby weight from the last pregnancy and then now this one I’m gonna gain more. BUT I’m going to have two beautiful children 🎉 so thank you for all the positivity

I needed this today, like so many other mamas said!! I have been so hard on myself after my recent (5th) baby.

I thought it’d be different this time since I worked out so much and was in “good shape” before I found out we were expecting #6. Honestly, it was (successful amazing natural home birth), but not like I assumed (going back to pre pregnancy weight super fast). I’ve been a mean girl to myself!😢

I do suggest pineapple juice as a natural diuretic to drop that water weight! It took a call to the nurse, pleading for help to get my ankles back to learn this info! I share with all expecting mamas now!

I promised myself I wouldn't let myself worry about it for a year. What I learned in that time is man do genetics play a huge role in all of it. I actually weighed less a year after having both my kids, but it's because that's how my body tends to work. (I weighed more before I got pregnant because I had more muscle, I haven't found a good balance for working out since having my kids, but I'll figure it out eventually! I miss it)
