"All because I couldn't love a motherless child" what a perfectly delievered line! Damn I love her acting.

Oh Catelyn you could never be the worst woman who was alive.

Remember Cersei still exists

Probably the most underrated scene in the whole show

The fact that Catelyn died without knowing the truth about Jon tears me up.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the acting on the part of Michelle Fairlay! I thought she was phenomenal as the Stark Matriarch

Imagine Catelyn’s reaction if she found out Jon was her nephew.

When a 4-minute story of a long night for a sickly boy has better writing and is more enjoyable than the actual long night we got.... Jesus christ

I love how you can hear the regret in her voice over the fact that she wished him dead and that she never really accepted Jon as one of her children. Despite the fact that none of the circumstances were true or his fault, Jon still saw Ned and Catelyn as his parents.

catelyn to the gods: "kill him"
also catelyn to the gods: "let him live"
gods *visible confusion*

I felt like the purpose of telling Talisa the story about Jon was because Catelyn sees them in the same standing. Two innocent people who, through no fault of their own, caused dishonor in her house and family. She hates them, yet has to accept the fact that they did nothing wrong.

Gods the writing was strong back then. And that music, and her acting.

Karstark was right about Robb
He lost the war the moment he met his wife

one of the best moments in GoT. It made me feel sad seeing and hearing how much Cat regrets taking out her anger on Jon and treating him like dirt. You could hear her voice break a little and the deep remorse in it when she starts talking about him with Talisa. It also shows you while Cat’s love for her children made her do rash and foolish things such as kidnapping Tyrion and releasing Jaime her biggest and fatal flaw was her inability to live up to her promises, her, Robb and Talisa would likely still be alive if her and Robb lived up to their end of the bargain with a blatantly vengeful and amoral man like Walder Frey

The fact that Michelle Fairley hasn't won an Emmy, the fact that she was never even NOMINATED for one after the incredible work she put in as Catelyn, is genuinely obscene to me. What a heart-wrenching performance.

One of my favorite scenes in the show. No dragons, no battle, no magic. Just 2 characters having a serious conversation. Incredible acting from Michelle especially

"and i couldn't keep my promise.."
the pain she's going through..just pure regret & loss.

To this day I still don’t understand why this scene is so underrated, it’s always been one of my favourites.

Not a lot of people talk about this scene. Its my absolute favorite scene of Catelyn's. "All because I couldn't love a motherless child..." ugh, its so good.
