My rabbit just passed away on monday at age 15… i rescued him 5 years ago and he brought nothing but joy into my life. I’m having such a hard time… it feels like my earth is shattered. He was my soul mate.

If your rabbit is overweight, it’s a sign he’s American

for the past 7 years i’ve been watching your channel. i got a rabbit for my birthday and had no idea what i was doing. did my research and this channel was the BEST especially because i wanted to make sure she was spoiled and she sure was. she died last night. i found her when i went to feed her. i am so heartbroken. i cant even describe the deepness of this hurt. bunnies are very special babies and i thank you for spreading awareness and information about how to really take the best care of them to make sure they live long, healthy, happy lives. you helped me through our entire journey, thank you so much Lorelei and Lennon❤

We have lost 4 rabbits over the years. Grommit was only 6 months old after a bad stasis fight, Java was a Craigslist rescue and fed a crap diet and lived in a hutch in a garage before we got him he passed at 6 years of age. Slate and Grace lived to be 11 years of age and passed from old age and respiratory failure. Currently we still have Katrina 13, Gwen 12, Halligan 11, Babs 10 and Niko 6. 😊 Our buns get very good vet care so much so that my vet lets me keep meds and IV fluids on hand for emergencies. Halligan is our golden rabbit and I’ve spent over $6, 000 on his vet bills in 3 years. Our bunnies are spoiled and mean the world to us. In the beginning we weren’t great owners but over the years we’ve educated ourselves, and we’ve fostered over 40 rabbits as well for the AHS and MCRS of Minnesota.

Omg this made me feel so much better because I am 7/7 lol. I often feel bad that she doesn’t let me hold her but I know she’s well taken care of. Her having the audacity is hilarious

My Netherland Dwarf lived 2 years of her life in a small cage before I rescued her. She was a disaster. Her feet were raw from wire cage bottoms, she wasn’t grooming herself, and she wouldn’t even come out of her hidey house. She was abused. 9 months of free roam, clean territory, nutritious food, and loads of love and patience finally brought her back. She won’t let anyone hold her still, but I respect her boundaries. She’s the sweetest girl anyone could ever want. Your videos changed her life, I can’t thank you enough!!❤

Great “ bunny love” video! I’ve had house rabbits since 1968. Talk about the lack of knowledge! No one knew anything about bunnies roaming the house, house training wasn’t even thought of, vets hadn’t a clue as to what meds to give, what to feed; the list is long! Today, 2024, I’m on bun # 12! Snowball just turned 5 on 6/19/24. She’s pure white, has “helicopter ears”-( adore this look!) eyes are now a beautiful lavender/pink colour that looks great. She IS great. Her predecessor, Sugarplum, was a dwarf version of Snow. Sugarplum loved to sleep in bed w/ me, as close as possible- in my arms! He weighed in @ 3.5 Lbs. Snow is big @ 7.25 Lbs. She hates to be held; refuses sleeping w/ me, but as soon as light goes off, I start singing a song I invented just for her. Within a few moments (usually) she leaps onto “her” pillow for a good ear/ neck massage! She definitely knows that my right shoulder/arm are badly damaged due to my degenerated spine, & gets when mom has to stop due to excessive pain. She kisses me( whisker kisses) & jumps down. Then, gives me a few minutes to “recover” before leaping back up for a bit more! We usually do this 3-5 times in about 15 minutes! I must time it right; if too close to daybreak, no bunny love! We do things her way, of course. Wish she would sleep next to me, but won’t stay. I adopted her @ 6 months; freshly spayed. She’d been born in the N. CA. 2019 wildfires; had escaped at about ten days old, had to avoid the fires all around her in Sonoma County, forage, make a burrow, avoid predators. She was finally caught after about a week. Taken to a vet, checked out (fine, amazingly, but very wary, of course). She went to a foster home ( shelters all full of buns from the fires). She stayed in a tiny room & was penned up until I heard about her on Dec. 14, 2019. I went to look @ her, saw a lovely bunny who needed a lot of love & freedom! I brought her to my home on Alameda Island. She loves it here. From the video, she LOVES ME!! And, I adore her. Though her chewing habit can’t be broken. She chews on every piece of wood, cords, furniture around. She’s polished off all the dining chair seats this last year. Fringe on Kashmiri silk rugs isn’t quite as plush, either. Don’t talk about the bed linens- her absolute favourite “chewing things.” Comforters(3), at least 15 sets of sheets, pillowcases. Down pillows, “our” bed is covered by old, chewed up sheets over the new ones. They last a couple of weeks, if lucky. So, cheap cotton sheets. But, perfectly house trained from day one. ( If angry, pees on her well protected pillow, a new habit. Not happy about that; but @ least doesn’t nail MY down pillow! Thanks for your great videos! Never miss them. Like you, even after well over 50 years of buns, still learning. Have a vet that is INCREDIBLE. I’ll follow her everywhere! ❤ to Carolynn Harvey, DVM, Chabot Vet Clinic! And, now her replacement, Leslie Neely, DVM, same clinic! We love you all, fellow bun lovers… Snowball, (late Sugarplum, & many other buns & Guinea Pigs, too! ) “ Bunny Lady, Fern”

My male the entire 3 years I had him (before he passed the age of around 5.5 years) was the most bold, confident, nondestructive, adventurous and demanding prey animal I ever met. He went through neglect after neglect but still was the most brave and social animal to come out of that situation. The poor thing was so isolated that he had little instinct to hide from predators, way too trusting of everyone and anyone and very easily adjusted to new environments. I wanted to do good for him when I had to watch him for my aunt, found this channel in October 2017 to at least prepare and ended up keeping him until his death 3 years later.

Your videos have helped me a lot when caring for my bunny. I have learned a great deal from a variety of places but also from observing my bun. You get to learn their behaviors, what they like and don't enjoy. My bun has even taught me things, like how to pet him on the head. Im always on the lookout for new toys and healthy snacks for my bun, even better if its an edible toy like willow balls, etc. Thank you for being an important resource for the bunny community❤❤

Flops are the best. 🥰 Almost every evening our rabbit flops next to me on the sofa multiple times, and I can pet his tummy and legs also, and I just love that he trusts me so much. 🥰

Remember that if your rabbits are skittish - it's their nature and especially can happen for adopted buns that have had trauma and bad experiences in their past.
For sure needs some careful handling and changing approaches to see what scares them less.

It does not necessarily mean you're a bad parent tho.

As a young and inexperienced girl I had bunnies but I was not old enough to know how to properly take care of them. I found your channel and followed other rabbit accounts to learn more. My little Snowball is the oldest bunny that I have ever had. He just turned four, and he's sassy, does his binkies and he was a bit overweight in his most recent vet appointment. Thank you for all your advice, it helped me bond with him and also free roam him. He's another family member to all of us. Thank you to you and Lennon ❤
