unless you don't have a 3060 or giving away your pc to someone needy, there is no need to upgrade to 4060.

I bought my laptop in 2020 with ryzen 5 3550h and it heats up like crazy so thinking of getting a desktop as I stay at one place while playing.

Not much price difference between both the gpu prices.

Laptop has 1650 gpu which may sound good but in laptop these gpu perform under their limits.

Nvidia could launch DLSS 3.0 for RTX 3000 and even 2000 series. But it didn't because they let as feature for 4000 series.
Nvidia downgraded memory from 12GB 192bit to 8GB 128bit. Also changed PCI-E x16 to x8. All this make peform equal or *worse* in *higher* resolution against RTX3060.
RTX4060Ti has 512 *less* CUDA cores than RTX3060Ti
RTX4060 has 256 *more* CUDA cores than RTX3060.
This means, besides the memory cap, RTX 4060Ti also had more peformance cap.
RTX4060Ti and "non Ti" are interesting for gaming laptops, not for desktop users.

All of you are not counting the people that have to upgrade their power supply for the 3060 to even 200watt power for a 3060 with a 600watt pcu minimum compared to a 115watt 4060 that can run on a and when cards go back to normal price the 4060 will be cheaper and more reliable for the low end budget, You all would care if you couldn't afford a power supply and you were like the many people that only have a prebuilt PC with a 550 watt power or less and a card less than a 3060 like a 1650 and looking to upgrade.... That's the whole point of this card, It's not meant to be compared to the top self... It's made to game on a budget, The 3060 card itself brand new is $330 then you're looking at anywhere from 50 to 100 extra dollars just for a 600watt or more power supply, when you can get the 4060 flat out for $330 and its actually 20% faster and back and forth performance with a 2 year old top shelf card i might add... honestly not a scam and can't believe so many simple minded people in society nowadays.... Think of it this way, what's better, Buying a graphics card and upgrading your PC flat out or having to buy a whole bunch of parts thats gonna cost extra money along with the graphic card.... 😂😂😂
