That was the best freaking description of a hip joint and the differences between people that I have ever seen ….and I have been in the medical field for 23 years.

Best yoga channel for sure, most teachers I’ve seen don’t go into the more woo woo stuff like the power of belief. “The person who thinks they can and the person who thinks they can’t are both correct” Confucius

I can vouch for the power of belief 100%
Been having "tight" hamstrings my whole life to the point I thought I just wasn't built for it. I would stretch with the others after group dance practice but could barely go down at all because the pain was terrible and even if I pushed through it like I was told to do it just didn't seem to have any effect. Had to drop dancing because of an injury (and money) and became very inactive, then I threw my back out trying to put a shoe on. A visit to the physio and he couldn't do anything for my back, but noticed my hamstrings and showed me stretches to work on them because being unable to bend properly meant I was compensating with my back. So I dropped thinking "I could never" because of necessity. If you've ever had terrible back pain you know how debilitating it is. I didn't want to live like that. Then I found your video about nerve gliding which helped a lot, and today I touched my feet for the first time. Mindset is so important. Don't resign yourself to "never". If something hurts or doesn't seem to work, figure out *why* that is. Progress might be slower than you want but it really is the journey that matters most, not the end goal. You'll get there eventually but for that you *need* to keep going at it. Believe in yourself, and be *kind* to yourself.

Where have you been for the last 35 years ?WHERE answered two quiet questions I have had for have been actively for the last 30 years night to figure this of variations each a tad different...hoping to unlock my hips but....to no avail. The other video entitled " Ignoring this will wreck your flexibility " the other serious question....thanks

I so appreciate your videos! Your explanations are great and they always make me feel better about my body. Plus, ever since I followed your nerve gliding videos, the pinched nerve that was causing me pain on and off for years has not bothered me once :D

What a brilliant explanation! So simple and makes me feel a lot better about not being so flexible, despite much work...and also setting my expecations better. Thank you so much!

This is a great explanation, crazy how we know so little about our bodies.

I do wish more practitioners would accept our differences rather than guilt tripping those of us that struggle with some movements more than the next person. 🧘🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️🏋🏾‍♀️

I love the way you explain the subject which other yoga teachers don't do. This motivated me to start a mobility routine as a 60year old Bodybuilder who has lost a big part of his flexibility over time. Nobody told mi about Nerve Gliding and other Tricks.I realized that Muscle also needs Mobility to prevent aging.

Really impressed. You must be one of the only teachers out there who has actually taken the time to explain the hip anatomy. Excellent stuff.

MY MOM LOVED THIS!! She asked me to help her get back in shape for the new year and I started her with some upper body MadFit. Then I bring up this channel and she's like "No no no. I can't crow. I can't do that fancy stretch. My body just doesn't work like that" and I say "Trust me, you're going to like this one." And here's the LL lady saying "Some people's bodies just don't work like that AND HERE IS ALL THE SCIENCE AND STUFF!" and my mom, a career chemist was like "Yes! More of this!"

I am so glad I found your channel. You are concise and thorough with explaining the what and the why. It is easy to understand and makes a lot of sense. I love your teaching style. As a new yoga teacher, I’m taking notes! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 😊

Just woke up and enjoyed listening to your voice. I just couldn't stop smiling listening to you and watching all these cute demo.. I'm thin but hard as a log and 3 yrs ago I couldn't even touch my toes just barely passing my knees, now I can put my palm on the ground but still have long way to go as I still can't hug my legs or pancake. Probably another 3-5yrs! And probably another 5yrs for a split! But no matter how long it'll take I'll keep practicing until I reach my goal! Thanks for the motivation! Fighting! ! 😂😂🤣🤣

Been following your channel since a while...and I gotta say it's the best channels for yoga techniques....I had been focusing on strength all the time but later realized that I lack flexibility...had searched quite a lot of channels ...just to be fooled by those click baits...but ur channel is really awesome...thankyou livinleggings🤗🤗

At the beginning of my yoga class, the teacher to say, remember we are all different and we are all different on different days. I always remember this, especially when I'm not doing as well as I have before. Great videos👌

I loved this video. The anatomy part was very interesting to me and I loved your last sentences. I even teared up a tiny bit. I really liked every workout/video I've done so far and I recommended your channel to my sister yesterday.
Thank you, honestly...

This is the first time anyone has explained this. I have always wondered why while my muscles are very flexible, for the life of me I cannot open my hips. No yoga or Pilates instructor have ever explained this to me when I’ve asked. Like the pigeon pose literally hurts my knee because my hip joint won’t open adequately. Now i know that I’m not somehow deformed just built differently. Thank you.

Wow, I really feel I've hit the jackpot finding your channel! The one about nerve gliding was a revelation and a revolution for me and my body. Thank you so much for these educational videos! I'm shocked you don't have millions of subscribers. Hopefully you'll get there, you definitely deserve it. Thank you! 💖

This is so helpful. I, like others try to stretch in some ways and can't do it as well as someone else. You then start to put yourself down thinking you arn't as good as others. But with other movements you can find it easy and another person can't do it.

This was SO HELPFUL.
Thank you 🙏

I kept thinking something was wrong. I’m stretching to help my mobility.

I’m in my late 20s.
