This is so simple yet nobody takes advantage of stretching between strength exercises. This flexibility secret is used by a lot of high level fitness practitioners to become more flexible while also gaining strength.

Rest periods while strength training is important, but is there a better way to spend it than pulling out your phone and scrolling? You're already warmed-up and feeling motivated, so why not use that to work on your flexibility or mobility goals? During your rest periods, take a minute to work on your deep squat, or your toe touches, or practicing your hangs! Might as well get as much as you can from your session. Let us know what you'll be working on between your sets!

I watch almost every person in my gym pick up their phone. I don't. I sit and breath Wim Hof style. Then get up and lift some more. I'm progressing through the workouts faster than I was a year ago. Thanks for your videos.

i've been using the stretches between sets for the past year. and even though my flexibility level isn't going to impress anybody, i have seen improvement. and i feel like i'm more productive in my workout doing this.

I'm in my 50s now. I have chronic illness. But thanks to this guy I keep ticking over. I was training to be a reservist British Paratrooper, when my C. F. S. struck. I still struggle to walk far. But S S videos have eased the physical and emotional pain.

I never bring my phone in the gym. I do my best to leave outside distractions outside. I will start doing stretches in between my lifts. Thank you for the excellent advice. Thank you for your time and this vid also. Peace

Been doing this for the last 2 weeks and I'm loving it. Sondre Berg uses this in his calisthenics program. Been also using some of the time to do isometric/tendon training. I'll have a metolius "rock rings" with weights so I can train finger strength between sets(7 second holds for different finger configurations) or horse stance or something like that.

100% agree. I pair up my least favourite stretch with my most favourite strength exercise… soon my least favourite stretch becomes my favourite too.
