He Definitely Had A Straight Back The First Time And Rounded It The Second Try. Not Saying This Doesn’t Work But He Did Do It Two Different Ways 😂.

So excited to try this! Enjoy your videos so much. Thank you. I look forward to being able to bend over better.

Depends on where the “block” is felt - if it feels like a stretch in the hamstrings, probably hamstrings (putting neural mechanosensitivity to the side), if it feels like a hard block deep in the hip, maybe something is there (but in this position most like it would be a cam/pincer lesion)

This is great if it really improves that much.

Super useful, thanks. I've hurt my low back multiple times while moving a straight leg forward and i've been training my hamstrings flexibility without much improvement

This can also be just a central nervous system adaption. You can do any leg movement repeated and gain more range for a time as your cns adapts.

Is this workout safe if you have had surgery done on your L5/S1? I had multiple disc prolapses and had to get tissue removed.

Is it safe to try this if you have an L5-S1 fusion?

Thanks very mush for sharing the knowledge you have acquired. I have found better movement in myself in many ways from slowly adopting some of what I can. One offer to you, for your clip, s is to make sure all things are visible. I am only guessing what your model has done with his legs because of the black pants he is wearing. Thanks again for sharing!

Would have been nice to see the stretch better.

I don’t understand this short. The pelvis has such little ROM, and while it can be mobilized, I don’t see how this is going to meaningfully contribute to touching your toes. If both of your feet are on the floor, your femur isn’t going to be able to move into any appreciable amount of internal rotation to increase your ability to touch your toes. There’s a reason why you feel a crazy stretch in your back and hamstrings when you bend over like this, it’s because they are the limiting factor holding you back from touching your toes. The only reason your toe touch demonstration was able to achieve his new ROM in the “after” video is because his spine went into much more flexion compared to the “before” video.

I have almost zero internal hip rotation but can easily go well past my toes with my hands. In fact standing on a 9 inch stool (I measured) I can palm the floor.
