Today let’s talk about why you might feel worse after taking apple cider vinegar.

There are two main reasons why you might feel worse after taking apple cider vinegar:
1. You have an ulcer
2. You have gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining)

What you could do:
1. Zinc carnosine (50mg 3x per day)
2. Chlorophyll
3. Cabbage
4. DGL-licorice
5. Probiotics

Let’s say you have gastritis, an ulcer, and SIBO. This complicates things. SIBO occurs when there are good bacteria in the wrong place. The last thing you want to do is add probiotics or fiber (cabbage) in this situation. The best thing to do in this situation may be to do carnivore for a while and fasting. Fasting may actually help the most.

As you reduce the symptoms from gastritis or an ulcer, you may want to start doing healthy keto and intermittent fasting to help prevent it from coming back again.

A few potential benefits of apple cider vinegar:
• It has potential benefits for your blood sugars
• It may help with insulin resistance
• It may help with digestion

The best time to take apple cider vinegar is before a meal, but a lot of people take it in the morning and at night. You can mix at least 1 tbsp. of ACV in a glass of water, or you can get a powder or tablet ( you may want to take 4-5 tablets). You can also add betaine hydrochloride for additional help.

There are people, like myself, whose bodies cannot convert acids into alkaline. We feel worse with citrus, vinegar and even fresh fruits. No-one ever mentions this.
Also, I have healed my gastritis with Slippery Elm capsules. Twice a day, on an empty stomach. Took them a month. Excellent remedy! ☺

I will put 3 tbps of ACV in a salad, along with 3 tbps of olive oil, 4 oz kale, 2 oz celery, 1 avacado, 2 hard boiled eggs. I choose between salmon, beef or chicken for meat cusmption. Always put salt and nutritional yeast. This is great for OMAD 💪🏻

I take around 2-3 tbs with 8oz of water twice a day. At first it caused me grief, especially taking it on an empty stomach, but now I am getting used to it and it really does help suppress my appetite while I am fasting. I can go hours longer with it than I can without it.

Omg doctor you are heaven sent!!! I was just diagnosed with SIBO 2 weeks ago. I also got my gallbladder out 7 years ago. ACV makes me feel awful. I will follow your suggestions for carnivore and intermittent fasting. Thank you!

Husband had gastritis. Started your keto + IF. We juiced the greens (no fiber)with 2 lemons, added Seakelp Powder (Zinc), Nutritional Yeast, Cod Liver Oil, K2, red Palm Oil, DIM, Potassium - and Magnesium Citrate to 'meal'. The meal was steak, chicken, fish or pork + the green drink and all the supplements. At bed time he took Colostrum powder. Within 2 weeks his Gastritis was gone.

A couple years ago when I was very unhealthy, I would take ACV and it'd make my stomach upset and I'd get nausea. I've been improving my diet and health for a couple years now and have been following the candida diet for a couple months (had a bad candida overgrowth) and now can take ACV without any issues! So far I think it's helped, I just started taking it but I will update if I notice big changes

My digestion is fantastic on ACV, suffered for years but ACV completely balanced my gut.

Oooh I love ACV and consume about 1L weekly ♥️
Apple cider vinegar 5% acidity
Red wine vinegar 6% acidity
White wine vinegar 6% acidity

I have any of the above with fresh mint sprigs, fresh lemon and lime slices, crushed ice, sparkling water 👌

I resisted acv for about 6 months. Last 2-3 of those months I focused on healing my gut lining. Not positive I had issues with it, but suspected so enough that I put off the acv. I never felt quite a bit better UNTIL I started the acv. I love it! My protocol worked extremely great! I now make my own acv and pear cider vinegar (pcv), which imo tastes great, refreshing even.

Apple cider vinegar helped my dad with leg cramps... I found a tonic that was Amish made that contained lemon and raw honey among other things

I’m not gonna lie I hate taking acv, but I make myself take it everyday.

Thank you Dr. Berg! I am so thankful for you!!! I have been doing keto and IF for a few months and I have lost 30 lbs and feel so much better in many ways. I just took some ACV for the first time in awhile and I had way less bloating and belching...neither lasted as long. I will try some of your other suggestions too. Thanks again! You've helped change my life. 🙏

*Has anyone else been using Apple Cider Vinegar more since Covid?*

Apple Cider Vinegar has so many health benefits. It can help reduce blood sugar, reduce cholestrol and help with constipation.

_Hope this helps!_

ACV, squeeze 1 lime, 1/4 tsp each of tumeric, cinnamon, ginger, potassium citrate, 1/8 tsp cayenne first thing in the morning, and last thing at night for the past 7 months. I get it down with a straw. I'm down to about 11% body fat and stronger than ever at 45 on keto and OMAD / 2MAD.

I drink 1 to 2 tablespoons of organic ACV in 1 cup of water 1st thing in the morning. I've been doing it for 5 years. I really haven't been sick since. A few times, I skipped it for 2 days and noticed I was starting to get a cold, so I did 1 tablespoon with water at night and again in the morning...this literally nipped the cold in the bud within 24 hours. I no longer take aspirin and ibuprofen due to taking ACV because rarely feel ill.

I like eating salads almost daily for dinner, and I started using raw chopped purple and green cabbage as opposed to lettuce and spinach simply because it's cheap and it keeps well in the fridge for a long time.

I did a test run on low carb (keto) plus intermittent fasting for the last 5 days. My stomach pains were intense. About 5 hours after the last meal of the day my stomach would start cramping up. I would wake up 5-8 times per night with intense stomach pain and my intestines in knots. Because I needed to get some sleep I had a piece of cake yesterday night before bed and law and behold my stomach was quiet and I only woke up once. I am saying all this not because I am against intermittent fasting but to show people a real life example of what happened to me. At this point I do not know if want to keep my stomach empty for too long because sleep is so very important when it comes to body healing and regeneration. But I have ordered zinc-carnosine and it will be interesting to see if that improves things.
