Thank you. I am 84, my wife is in the nursing home with last stages of Alzheimer's disease for 8 years. I miss her biscuits and cooking. I watched your biscuits with 2 ingredients much easier. Thanks, you remind me of her. We rode the school bus sitting together at 16, married at 18 and now married 63 years. I visit her daily and tell her stories of her 6 siblings and our 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is a true mother and homemaker and a joy to us all.

I just stumbled across your two ingredient biscuits video and then watched this one. I'm shocked and feel kinda stupid. I had no idea butter and biscuits were or could be so simple. Heavy whipping cream and self-rising flour is all I need to make both biscuits and butter. Wow! On to the next video.

As a kid I used to help my mama make butter by skimming cream off the top of fresh dairy milk. We poured it into a gallon jar with lid and shook it back & forth, forever it seemed, lol! It churned and turned to butter. And it was delicious on biscuits with honey, fruit jam, jelly, preserves or molasses. Thanks for sharing and bringing back fond memories!

I thought I should tell everyone that my wife passed peacefully in her sleep at 5AM on Halloween day 10/31/2022. My angel in now safely in Heaven waiting for me. Thank you all for your comments. I made an error when I wrote married 63 years, it was 65 years. It was a long and difficult journey which brought us even closer. God bless you all.

You just took me back to 2nd grade. Our teacher, Mrs. McDaniels was an older lady...this was around 1979 so she would have been born in the first quarter of the 1900's. She brought an old school churn to class and had all of us kids take turns churning it. Thanks for the nostalgia!!!

My granny who lived near Harrogate TN made all her stuff from scratch, but she had cows for her milk. Used to have an electric butter churn, like a 3 or 4 gallon glass jar kind of thing with a motor and shaft that went down into the milk. Fresh milk, buttermilk and butter all the time. She loved that gadget, saved her so much time from the really old hand dashed churn she still had around from her younger days.

I''ve been watching numerous videos on butter making, and when I told my Husband I was going to make some, he said why, I said, because I can. lol So that made me smile when you said that.

Thank you. This is amazing to watch. I am 74 years old and never made butter. I guess I was a rural city girl. My father was a door to door milkman for 32 yearsl. He was an Independent Distributor for our local Golden Arror Dairy. Everything is changed now, Many housing developments. It was a wonderful time for us four kids. My mother sewed all our clothes and she delighted in making us small uniforms to match our beloved Dads so we could govwith him in his route every summer. Such wonderful times. The video before this one was on making two ingredient biscuits. I am a new subscriber and I truly look forward to all your upcomming videos. You are so talented and very pretty and I appreciate all the work you do for your devoted subscribers. So nice to meet you. Sincerely, Debbie 🙋🧑‍🦽 and Dexter-Dog 🐕🐾 my sweet tiny rescued Chihuahua companion 🐕living 🏠🌴 a quiet crafty life 🏠 🌵 in southern California.🙋🐕🐾🧑‍🦽🌴🏠🌵🙏🙏😎🌅🌺🏖️

As a child I lived on a farm and we had a milk cow - so daily fresh milk.Actually, our cow was a good milk cow and my Mom would often have enough to give the neighbors. Anyway, she would put the milk fat into her kitchen aide mixer - turn it on slow, add salt and it would make butter much faster and with much less work than using a churn. My Mom & Dad loved the buttermilk, us kids not too much.

My mom used to sit and churn buttermilk as far back as I can remember. We used to stand and watch until the butter firmed and she’d tell me to go get a big spoon and she’d spoon up the butter and I’d eat it until I turned green. I still love homemade Buttermilk and Butter.

I am out done. I was surfing for a new disability lawyer and ran across you. I can make butter, butter milk biscuits with the buttermilk, buttermilk ranch dressing, buttermilk fried chicken... Lady if this is true Martha Stewart is only half the woman the world thought she was. I promise I'm going out today just to buy some heavy cream.... new best friend!!!

My father passed away last year at 90. He grew up on a farm and would tell my sister's and me about how his mother used to churn butter. He passed on his love for hot biscuits with butter. ❤️❤️

I have been making butter for years! When I taught 3 and 4 year olds in Sunday school, every Spring we would make butter by putting whipping cream in baby food jars and shaking it. Of course I carried some too, for any of them that couldn’t sit still long enough to shake the jar. Then we would spread it on saltines for a snack. They loved it!

My dinner is made! Veggie beef soup is simmering on the stove. Enough for our dinner and probably enough for 3 half gallon tubs to go in the freezer. Becky

How much fun! We have been sort of hunkered down here in Kona Hawaii waiting out the last remnants of Hurricane Darby which slipped by to the south this week giving us high surf and Rain and giving me time to watch your wonderfully instructional cooking techniques and recipes! I am going to make this butter and put it on some of your good looking biscuits—-thanks or as we say in Hawaii “Mahalo Nui Loa”.
