I was following the recipe perfectly, and when it came to the warm water I ended up putting about 500 grams in the dough by accident. I kept adding more and more flour until it looked a bit more like your dough. I am now covering it and I will start the next steps in the morning. I thought about adding more yeast because I added a lot more flour and water, but I couldn’t because it wouldn’t be able to dissolve. I hope hope hope that the bread still turns out alright. I will give you an update tomorrow!

Update: Good grief. I just took out the bread and didn’t come out as expected. It wasn’t good. It was AWESOME. DE-LI-CIOUS! I’m glad it came out fabulous even though I added more flour and water. My family had the bread gone within an hour. Thank you so, so much for sharing the recipe. I ended up making 2 loaves!

Thank you for this recipe - I have made it TWICE. Once, overnight proofing for a delicious breakfast and then today. Prepped it, put it on my kitchen table and went to work.

Came home and immediately started preheating the oven. While it was baking, I made a Tuscan inspired soup to counter a chilly, snowy day.

I don't even touch it with my fingers when I do this recipe. All big ole rubber spatulas folding the dough. It can be done so cleanly and all in the bowl, transfer to parchment paper in a Dutch oven. No scrubby the counters, no scrapy the hands. So delicious and simple.

Love this recipe. Gives crunchy crust, great holes, soft flavorful interior. And best thing, easiest recipe ever! Ive made couple different breads including sourdough. When I don’t have time or don’t want to deal with the long sourdough process, this, this is my now favorite to go recipe. Made up to 10 times now ♥️

I’ve made this several times... I recommend putting in paper bag so it doesn’t get soggy.. great for gourmet French toast 😋😆

This is my favorite recipe! I had never made bread before and now I use this recipe almost once per week! It tastes so good and makes a great gift too!

Put the dough on parchment paper for the second rising (I put it in a bowl) Then when it’s time to bake, lift the dough in the parchment paper and place all in the preheated Dutch oven. Easy transfer and saves clean up.
