I was going to plant quinoa this year, but I’ll just stick to buying it. That’s a lot of work..but more power to those who want to do that! Great video!

Thanks for adding that "sandwich" container part at the end....really helps put into perspective.

So about every 9 plants is one container (give or take). THANKS!!!

Hello friend, I have also planted and harvested Quinoa this year, the very first time. I am exited, also the smell while drying ist phantastic, like tea. While drying the harvest, I am looking for methods to tresh. I do harvest my own seeds most succesful, but with Quinoa I am newcomer. So I searched the net for solutions and I must say, that your method and your video is the most useful thing I could find in longer search! Thanks a lot. One "Like" cannot be enough! Best greetings, Hans from Germany.

If you pour back and forth in front of a slow blowing fan, that will work to clean the seed nicely, too.

Thanks for keeping this to 3 minutes - the other videos just went on and on without giving good information.

This such great information.  I would have never considered adding quinoa alone with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and lettuce.
Can I use seeds from the Quinoa I buy at Costco?  Anyone?
Thank you

would you be able to let me know if quinoa plant has dusty powder on the heart or the tip growth of plant and the under side too? I thought they were lambsquarter because i tossed the quinoa seeds out and think that it was a quinoa plant. but in "Free Food & Medicine" said that the look alike has no powder and grows really big. I wondered if I should destroy all my seeds on these plants that I let them grow so tall for a while now and the leaves is not so edible, plus I don't like the taste as the ones in my friend's yard that happens to have dusty powdery on them both top and bottom leaves. so much so that my hands were covered w them and they tasted like spinach cooked. So if you will be able to tell me that the quinoa plant has no powders on it, or I will have to destroy it soon before my yard is full of them. And I had seeded more quinoa, will this be poisonous. thanks.

Can I buy grocery store organic quinoa to use for seed?

I got leaves going yellow, any idea why? Yellow, withered leaves, extending to blossoms also. At the begin it grows fine, after some time leaves and blossoms went wither. Because of that I lost 65-75% of potential crop, withered blossoms had no seed, they were empty. This started in the middle of season, temperature was pretty high (>15 Celsius night, > 20 Celsius day). How to avoid that? Soil was not dry, I used to use sprinkler (after sunset) to water plants. Could it be too much water? Or maybe cold water could destroy plants?

All that work for 18 plants only 2 sandwich size containers? No wonder it's 6 USD a lb! What about growing Chia Seeds in Canada?
