I prune mine even when they are still small, I prefer to starting pruning right away because it causes the plant to split giving me even more basil

Nah harvest them when they’re little. The minute you see two nodes in the elbows, make the first harvest so the center base stem strengthens and the two nodes make two strong stalks from the main one near the base.

Some little animal ate all of it. I just have the stem that is it. We have picture but it is too small to tell what it was. It just too the whole branch and went away. So sad 😢

I Prune mine at 2 nodes. My plants are huge wide and many tops. I grow basil " bushes " NOT plants. Plants are small ..bush is better
