Tip: Bring Dogmeat into your starting Vault, Vault 111, and go the the caged weapon (Cyrolator) and ask Dogmeat if he can fetch any interesting items nearby. He'll rip the Cyrolator out of the cage, thus avoiding the Master-Lock requirement. xD

I love this game, but I wished settlers would be assignable to REAL tasks like: building, developping, CLEANING, etc... But all in all: great game... Got it a few months ago and still playing it almost every day...

Another good/helpful thing to do is just walk around the map finding various locations but DON'T CLEAR THEM as they could reset in future missions. But if you find various locations in the world then you can fast travel to them almost instantly rather then having to search around for them.
Oh and remember to quick save!

Remember as soon as you get the Minutemen to Sanctuary, do the quests you get at the sanctuary before venturing out. It's a short quest line about building the settlement and it'll ensure that the place has defense when you're not there, and this is important because you could otherwise easily loose all the stuff you have saved in the workshops.

I learnt that you can assign weapons to your citizens. The best thing is giving them a minigun and only 1 ammo. For them, its infinite

I just bought the GOTY edition and its my first time ever playing Fallout 4. I have spent around 5 hours just fixing sanctuary hills lol. Fun game for sure
