Don't do these things in fallout 4 ❌

Never listen to IGN's advice ✅

Okay forget about everything in here. There is one tip and one tip only you need as a player of this game, the rest is pretty obvious. Keep everything that includes adhesive and aluminium. Trust me on this. They are, and I'm not exaggerating here, THE most important resources in this entire game. If you want to fix anything, upgrade anything, build anything, you will at some point need aluminium and adhesive, and you will need it in masses if you do so frequently, which if you want any chance of survival, you will. Hoard adhesive and aluminium like an absolute goblin. No matter what you're carrying around with your hard-earned carry limit, it will not be as important as a roll of duct tape or an aluminium can. And this counts for every situation ever.

You should ABSOLUTELY max out intelligence in character creation. It affects how much experience you receive, whenever it’s received.
Recommending not to is just bad advice.

Save the super ammo for your most desperate situations. Dont cheat to resupply it. that's the whole point of looting and exploring and managing your inventory. True survival

New player, but just learned this: help the minutemen, so some of the main quests, but dont get incredibly far in it. Experience the game and side quests beforehand so you don't have to complete it so fast. Also, regardless of what your companion says, pick up: adhesive, Crystal decanters, and aluminum. Hard to come by when your looking for them.

Here is the best tip:
Dont tell Preston you will help him, tell him your son is your priority, and youll help him when you have time.

If you want to do the Minutemen quests, this allows you to set them up yourself WITHOUT the "a settlement needs your help" meme invasion.

Not maxing out any stats is boring. Unless it's your first playthrough, having a unique character with major defining attributes makes the game much more fun. (And roleplay much easier.)
For example, if you wanted a powerful melee fighter, having 10 strength isn't technically the most efficient option, but clearly the most fun and fitting option for your character.

Don't use ign's advice.

Weight doesn't play a gigantic role, don't pickup random guns and armor.

Don't worry about rare ammo. You can buy and find plenty. Mccready gives free ammo once and a while.

The main questline is easy and can give tons of xp, don't bomb rush but don't take 48 hours to get into kellog's house.

Rad water gives 3 rads. It's not certain doom.

Max out any special you want, it's an RPG. Do what you want.

Also, with the manufacturing stuff, you can manufacture more than that special ammunition. But you do have to loot the hell out of areas for materials.

Use your super ammunition

There is nothing more depressing then finishing these games with stockpiles ammo you should have used

Don't leave your power armor sitting around at a settlement with settlers

"Min/max" is literally minimizing some attributes so you can maximize one (or more) - you don't stop until it's MAX. Or has this term been misused so much that now there is another definition? 🙄

When hunting resources.
Always check what type of materials the random junks are. Adhesive, Aluminum, Gear, Fibre Glass and etc are extremely important for endgame resources.
