Also for anybody starting out on a new Android phone, ALWAYS move your SIM card over first before doing the initial startup or transferring data. Samsung phones automatically erase the entire phone when it detects a new SIM card, so if you transfer over all your data then input the SIM card, it will erase everything and you will have to redo the whole process again.

You cant install smartswitch without setting up an acct, which requires a credit card. I dont want to give them a credit card number. Also the old sim card will not fit in the new phone

Problem I have 2 active samsung phones in service and my newest 1 said I had 15 days to backup my old 1 so I started doing it on my newest phone despite both phones being in use. Now I stopped it because my texts are changing, fonts screen etc. I'm afraid the old data is transferring to my newest phone and deleting all my texts and call logs on my newest phone which happened last time I had 2 samsung phones. I use both phones and can't lose any texts on either phone. There's no option to backup texts on new phone. Now my newest phone has changed. I wasn't transferring data I was backing up to samsung cloud. It was hitting backup on samsung cloud. I never went to smartswitch which I disabled on my phone.
