It probably works great for smaller files like documents and pictures. I tried transferring a 1.6 GB movie file and it took an hour. My internet speeds are pretty fast, so I think its a limitation to the program.

YES, this actually did work, but it took some time. I followed your instructions to the letter, the only problem was that I didn't download the Send Anywhere app on my 2nd computer first. The other problem was that the 2nd computer, received the transfer, but I couldn't find the "download" button? There isn't actually a red button that says download, its merely a download ICON, which is right beside the "buy a cup of coffee" prompt. It took me a minute to realize that the download icon was the button I was looking for. It all worked out fine, Thanks!

Would it not make more sense to create a shared folder on Windows which you can access on any pc or laptop at home network ?

Just do a LAN connect, its much safer. than using a 3rd party. and having to used their serves.
Plus the possibility that they will save a copy of any immolation is greater.
