2 ways to prevent sunscald

If your peppers are getting sunscald, here are the two things I recommend doing:

1. Use shade cloth

About 40% is best since more than that will block out too much sunlight. Shade cloth will take the edge off of intense UV rays.

2. Don't prune

Unless you have diseased or dying leaves, try to keep foliage on the plant. This is how the plant will naturally protect itself. However, some varieties just aren't all that leafy, so shade cloth can really come in handy.
