Hey docs, yesterday I went back to my derma clinic after 2 years for a bit of Botox but my regular doctor left during the pandemic. The new doctor, super nice, took 3D pics of my face, blew them up on a massive HD screen and showed me all my flaws. He ended up recommending fillers: temples, cheeks, eyes, lips, PRP, laser, HIFU, Botox, and 2 more procedures that I can’t recall. While he was trying to sell me on this by showing me a 10X magnified 3D image of my flaws that are obviously there, i kept thinking im a confident woman and I will say no(he insisted several times) but this strategy will sure work for people with less confidence. I was able to say no because I have learnt so much from watching you two and I love how you educate us. I wish some of the industry practices would follow a more ethical not financial gain strategy. Thank you for the education!

I don't know when we decided that wrinkles were bad but try to embrace them. Just use your retinoids and sunscreen and live happy. Aging is a privilege. Not everyone gets to do it. Thanks again for a great video gentlemen. :)

62 y/o F. Had great skin with min effort ( & easy tan) until 50. Problems with ortho pain & extended grief/depression affected wrinkles. Came out of it @ 60, but left with pronounced resting grumpy face. So youngsters, address mental health & happiness along with sun protection & moisture.

LOVE that you included the bit in the beginning about wrinkles giving character to someone’s face!

I appreciate that you addressed beauty standards for men versus women. Society definitely has double standards. Stay tuned for bloopers at the end. 🙂

I never looked at one of my relatives that had wrinkles and thought anything other than how much I loved them.

Dr. Shah, I would love to hear your skin cancer story. 20-something Melanoma survivor over here! I think it's so amazing you shared that even dermatologists are at risk - it makes it even more real for others!

I’m 57 years old. My goal? Not to look younger, I just want to look good for my age.. so I am changing my skincare. I discovered that my routine I used at 20 is NOT going to be effective now that I’m in my 50’s! I had to go to a dermatologist to know that….and watch these guys….thank you both! 🙏🏻

There’s a sweet spot with wrinkles I think. It’s insane to want to look like you haven’t aged because that translates to looking like you haven’t lived.

I have better skin at 59, than I ever did in my 30’s and 40’s thanks to you two and your straight forward information. Wrinkles. I call mine cracks. My middle brow is for sure cracked, not wrinkled. I can live with it. Especially now that my texture is improving daily. Again, thanks to you.

I’m a licensed esthetician and I also get bothered when I explain to clients that their skin shows signs of dehydration and I direct them to HA products and they tell me “oh no I’ll just drink more water”. I don’t know how drinking water has all of a sudden become the cure all for skin disorders/conditions. Obviously yes drink water for over all health but it won’t fix all skin conditions. Love that this was mentioned!

This was such an awesome video. Thank you for giving options to improve ourselves and at the same time stating that we are all humans and wrinkles are a reflection of our emotions. Loved it!

You guys are great!👍
I realy like how you give the description of the remedy/ product/procedure, in detail, but not a long medical description. Just enough to be informative yet interesting. Great video. 👍

I personally think crowsfeet are HOT! Now, it's true I am a 67 y/o grandmother, but I've always felt that way. When people are really smiling from their heart it comes thru their eyes. To me a person with crowsfeet has had a joy-filled life!

I always liked my crows feet around my eyes because when I look in the mirror I see my dad and the lines he had around his eyes.

Can you guys please do a video discussing the how fillers don’t dissolve fully like we thought, they actually migrate? An Aussie derm, Dr. Gavin Chan has a whole video on how he stopped doing dermal fillers because he noticed the filler was migrating south due to gravity & was shown on MRI to be in the face 7 years later.

More & more derms are abandoning filler after this is becoming more widespread knowledge 🙀
