Just tried it. It worked first try and only waited like 1 minute.

It actually works! He’s right, you will have to wait a few minutes for it to update the location, BUT it will! So happy I found this. Now I can watch my local news no matter where I am. Thanks so much for showing how to do this!

This worked great, thank you so much. Question for you or others, the only way I've noticed this has impacted my other phone apps is that I can't use Google maps properly. It thinks I'm starting from where I have the location set. Do other just toggle between where they want to have the location set and then change it to where they actually are? I'm assuming that if I don't use YTTV while using maps I should lose my location viewing preferences. Thanks for any insight!

Question..my home area is Mankato (56003) and current playback location Nicollet (56074). So I am now seeing warnings on limited channel options in near future. We live on a farm. Our farming neighbor 1/2 mile down the road from us has a Nicollet 56074 address. What would happen if I changed home area to Nicollet (56074)? Our internet supplier is StarLink. Any feedback would be awesome

Do I need cable setup or do I need a portable router that I can take with me with my laptop that I haven't used yet? I'm technically challenged and I really appreciate your help.btw, I live in the country and I do not have Dish or cable because I'm stubborn. I watch my smartphone constantly. I only pay $12 for YouTube premium so I can have my playlist. That's another problem right now. The expiration on my debit card went out and it erased my playlist and YouTube videos from 6 years! One thing at a time. I never wanted to be tied down inside with a computer. I was waiting years so they would come up with something that I could go to the pond and watch whatever on my laptop that's still in the box. I've been saying for almost 20 years that I don't understand how I get internet on my smartphone but the computer needs wi-fi or cable Etc. I also couldn't figure out why the telephone wouldn't be right in the computer itself. Well finally they invented it. Sorry for taking so much of your time but I do appreciate it

I added fake gps. Also, I was able to update my home area to New Orleans. However, the play area is still showing Atlanta. I tried to update the play back area on my tv several times and it won't work. Do I need to turn on my wi-fi /location while fake gps is on?
